Part 1 of Dylan's series was a lot of fun to make. I would say that I pride myself on knowing quite bit about skateboarding, but I was almost completely unaware of his presence in this video until I heard Dylan mention he was in it. Dylan already has a history. He is an old school Cali skater, he came up through CASL contests, he can rip parks and street at the same level, and has the video coverage to prove it. Dylan is the most exciting skater out right now, hands down. That is a pretty bold statement, but it is based on Jim Thiebaud's face. Now Jim has probably seen some of the some of the craziest and most innovative skating in the past 25 years. He hosted probably the greatest contest of all time, and has overseen teams with guys like Cardiel, the Gonz, and Busenitz. So when he makes a face like this after seeing someone do a singular trick, you know he's got it.

Still one of my faves ever in 2020.. thank you for so much Dylan.. you introduced me to Elliott Smith and inspired me to get off H and start skating again back in 2012.. You are a true inspiration for reals. Taken too early. RIP DYLAN

(may be lame to others, but important to me. it's not about hairstyle, its a metaphor for commitment) how dylan changed my life a little bit with everything he did, I always wanted to be more and more like him. I've always wanted to grow my hair out, but due to being impulsive and conforming to a quick fix, i'd buzz it off... then he died so I said fuck it, im doing it no matter what. I recently just lost my mother and at her funeral, had this long greasy hair, just like his and people said to cut it off and i said no, my mother knew how happy it made me that I finally reached this little point in life that I was a little bit closer to looking like my idol. she would be proud. maybe he would be too...

Why did they make this back in 2012? Dylan was only 23 at the time. Doesn’t seem very “epicly later”. Like a lot of other people mentioned, it would be great if they added more to it since he passed away.

Jason Dill grew up in Fountain Valley. At least that is where he went to high school. Both FV and Westminster are part of HB as far as skateboarding is concerned but for local kids they feel there is a difference. For instance. Ed T lived in FV for a while but I am sure he always just considered it part of greater HB.
