I’ve never seen Dylan smile so much! He’s having a great time!

It's unreal how much he Dylan knows and the amount he interacts with people on KZfaq and the value he gives away with his content is just mind blowing! He deserves all the accolades that he gets! I think of pickups almost by magnets primarily, alnico 3 and 5, ceramic, bars, poles. I love how Dylan talks about the shape of the wind then and so I would think about that now more than the type of wire next. He definitely changed the way I view pickups and I feel much more informed now!

Dylan really helped me branch out into the mod world and explained how to get the tones I wanted out of my guitars. Sincerely thankful 🙏

Hell yeah, two of my favorite channels!! I’m personally stoked about seeing the guitar’s role in music shifting and evolving. As far as the young crowd making guitar-centric music, it’s shifted a lot to clean(er) reverb-heavy, chorus-heavy tones. The high-gain thing is out-of-favor at the moment but just like anything, it will be back with a vengeance soon enough. I love to see styles fade away and get recycled over the years.

Dylan was the one that helped me to understand what is actually buzzwords or false beliefs in the guitar world and be able to distinguish between marketing lingo and real stuff... and taught me how to solder properly!

Watching this after watching Dylan take the Baxter tour! I love but of these channels!!!

One of my strats has vintage style single-coil pickups with those staggered poles, I had problem with the G string, it wouldn't intonate properly and it was louder than other strings. One of Dylan's videos explained the history of single coil pickups, which lead me to try wound G string and it solved both problems. Thanks Dylan!

When I saw the thumbnail, it brought a huge smile to my Sat morning, and seeing Dylan here is like those awesome comic book arc where SPiderman and Ironman hang out and kick arse. Dylan's helped explain a lot of electric guitar nuances to me and I like his philosophy on guitar and pick up making . . .

I've found that over the years by being open minded to any and all music and musicians it's helped my playing. Bec you willing to try anything.....

Dylan's pickups are priced really really well. If you have a certain type of pickup in your guitar tho and you plan on replacing it with a boutique pickup in the same wheelhouse as the stock pickup; you have a 50/50 chance of being disappointed no matter what you paid for the pickup.

I really like my own pickups that I wind myself. I have some great recipes. I'm a Master electrical contractor by trade. The only challenge is not getting "hypnotized" while hand winding a 10,000 wrap p 90. I also build the guitars that I install them in.

I experienced the choice overload when buying my first set of replacement Stratocaster pickups. I ended not buying Fender brand pickups because I couldn’t determine which model would be best for my playing. I wanted pickups from a brand/manufacturer that was presenting their best version of a pickup.

Hearing your take on reaching younger people and I'd just seen this posted.. There is a guitar show scheduled in the Puget Sound area this May. 98% of the people responding about it were of the retired age.😳. Most young people would rather watch a unveiling and then order it. Not into the get togethers that the boomer hippie culture inspired. I also believe that the all access all the time to music has put music into that background category. It's no longer the destination, but a snack along the way.

That was a great discussion. I’ve always liked Dylan and his channel. Can’t recommend the Quad Cortex enough. I’ve used them all and the QC is the only one I now use.
