And in Age of Ultron (or was it an Iron Man movie) there was a scene when Tony can't even sleep because of what happened in the first Avenger movie. Since after the first Avenger movie, Tony wasn't able to rest because he keeps on thinking that maybe the ~aliens~ will come back.

I watched that scene too, and it felt so out of place because they almost never really focus on the female characters unless: 1) Sexual tension 2) Death scene 3) Virtue signaling So I cringed so hard when I watched it in theaters because I knew number three was what they were going for, and like you said, there should have been more female centric movies (and honestly just female centric, feminine gaze scenes).
@Aro72412 жыл бұрын
@@Sam-ux4kw Except, it's easy for us to say now.. there should've been more female centric movies in phase 1. But that never could've happened cause when Marvel started up their comic book movie franchise, their female audience was seemingly minimal to none. Just think about how many male comic book nerds to female comic book nerds you know in real life, before the MCU Era. There would've been no considerable audience for a captain marvel movie back then. They're doing the best they can to keep up with their ever-expanding audience, even with the risk of virtue signaling. @@razkable it becomes important when people enjoy it and want more. Why does something you like need to end? If you never felt a hollow feeling after watching a movie that you loved and thought what now, is because you never watched a movie you really really enjoyed. Marvel fans enjoy it because you get to see characters grow old with you and it does not only affect a generation, but any generations since comics came out. It's a bonding moment. You have your right to not want to spend time watching every single material out there, but you cannot criticise those who do because everyone has different hobbies and is different that is the beauty of the world.
