Diaochan is always a pain to fight how quick she hits. She pokes you and sets you up for others to combo you.

Those who've never played Dynasty Warriors 3 don't know just how hard Dynasty Warriors used to be. Sub officers are literal HP sponges that block constantly and if you waste too much time trying to kill one, your units will be routed one by one bringing down your overall morale.

DW 2 and 3 were both tough. Especially on the hard/very hard difficulties. Even the Sergeants, Guards, and Guard Captains were a threat. Go too deep into a cluster of enemies and the game could end quick. But that also made it more realistic compared to future titles.

Same here! Been posting a bunch of DW stuff myself and going through all the games. Xaldin007 has one of the best channels for ps2 era DW stuff also.

There's definitely something fucky going on here. I swore I saw a message about Guan Yu getting beaten off-screen too, but then we see him later in the video fighting just fine, even finishes off one of the officers Xaldin was fighting.

You kinda have to grind it out. This game is very challenging on normal difficulty with weak characters and no item.

Best advice grind yellow turban rebellion and make sure to secure all gates for the defense +1s so you have more survivability then grind this stage on normal and you should already know Do not pursue lu bu 😅 Take out any other officers except diao Chan cause that gets you targeted by lu bu and you'll get a few items per run if you take out most officers and if you don't get items you get attack and defense boosts which definitely helps within a few runs you should have a base to start musou mode w. Good luck!

if you are playing XL with the origional loaded i suggest playing with lubu till you have some decent items. once you got some decent boosting items equiped leveling other characters would not be that hard.

@@hurricane7727 ok, this is Xtreme Legends. I thought Hu Lao Gate was different from what I remember. Different starting spot, different opening voice lines from Yuan Shao. Also I didn't know you could have female bodyguards.

@@storytsunami They( Bodyguards also have Selectable weapons in this Version that's a Lv3 Weapon

@@hurricane7727 I remember being able to select different weapons for the bodyguards in the base game too. I usually went with pikes for mine :)
