READ:
It is normal to get 10-15% LESS than manufacturers stated HP/figures, as these are usually taken from the CRANK. NOT the rear wheel. Dyno figures are taken from the rear wheel.
If I hear one more crackfiend, cry about "mines bigger than yours", or "your bike has a problem" (which yours does too, its called emissions, which also vary country to country) or, "The dyno is not calibrated"- I implore you to do some research and learn something for yourself, stop spouting reiterated shite you've heard from some forum gizmo.
These people are professionals, do this for a living, and have done so their entire working lives- and you aren't or haven't unless you prove me otherwise. Do not pretend you know everything, stop being defensive when you are challenged on your incorrect logic, and be humble in knowing youre wrong
Cheers!

Great video sir! Your dyno guy is a very knowledgeable, and likable chap! After years of owning multiple bikes, I've noticed that the more power a bike makes, the more pronounced the "snatch" of fuel-injection. Snatch was much more noticeable on my '08 CBR1000RR than my '13 ZX-6R. One of the "negatives" of a high-horsepower bike.

Cheers mate! Yeah usually with the engines with higher HP being more aimed toward the race side of things, they don't make great road bikes, i.e. Under 6k rpm

What I cannot understand is, why the bike revs to 11,500rpm on the tachometer, but only to 10,800 on the Dyno. Any ideas?

@ 11:30 The Dyno guy stopped them bike revving before it hit rev limiter! If I would pay for a flush I would like to see how much power it makes until the rev limiter!
@sergeantsodom6969

Hitting the rev limiter is not healthy for a bike especially static on a dynamic where heat can build up quickly. He stops just before the hard limit. Professionals know what they're doing.

@@sergeantsodom6969 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mZeAga6F18iZg2g.html check @ 05:50, he hits the rev limiter and the bike makes power until 11300rpm. If you look at the graph, it makes 15hp between 10700rpm and 11.400. BTW almost every Dyno tune I have seen online of any bike the hit the rev limiter. The rev limiters of bikes are electronic and are much lower than the mechanical rev limits than the bikes can handle.

So the red line shows full throttle and the blue was the "normal" riding run? And he said the air fuel ratio needs to be about 14 to 15 parts air to one part fuel, is that right?
@sergeantsodom6969
@sergeantsodom6969 2 жыл бұрын
Yes Blue is more of a 'real world' steady roll-on and no that would be far too lean (as it is already) ideally 12-14 for air fuel, they trim it down to 13 as a rough guide line to stick to, but we will amend to figure out at which air fuel across the rev range suits the bike best by amending the things like the TCV and secondary throttle tables etc. It's a lot of work to get a baseline and there are no maps as of yet we are aware of

@@kevinmill7965 Nope it's a full tune there are no flashes currently that we are aware of so it involves compiling the hex straight from the ECU and interpreting that way. Woolwich haven't got s tune yet as far as I know so may wait for that. Not 100% on price as we don't know how many hours, but looking around £500

How is it possible the bike to rev out at 11.400rpm on your manual and on Rev-meter (TFT screen) and on the dyno only to 10.550 rpm. It makes no sense!
@sergeantsodom6969
@sergeantsodom6969 Жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by my manual, but It does make sense if you know how a bikes engine works and the constraintsbehind it, the limit on screen is determined by the software and what the developers want to put in place there. The limiters can run +/- a few K rpms from what is shown on screen.
@Myself6M
@Myself6M Жыл бұрын
@@sergeantsodom6969 The manual of the motorcycle, the one you follow to keep the warranty (page 204), sais electronic rev limiter is at 11400 rpm. There is only one dyno measurement online where the bike revs up to its rev limiter and makes 15hp more power, every one else cuts the bike before you hit the limiter. You can see it in this video too, the bike never hit its rev limiter, as the technician cuts it with the control he holds in his hand.
@sergeantsodom6969
@sergeantsodom6969 Жыл бұрын
@@Myself6M I see. You aren't going to get 15hp more form running through the rev limiter, every dyno is different as is explained in this video, or the person had their bike tuned. Many variables can account for changes in power but something that drastic insinuates the bike was not stock. Majority of these stock bikes are making around 160 at the wheel, that accounts for drivetrain losses etc. Again, the technician here stopped as the bike hit redline. Taking it past that can damage the engine. Take from this what you will, however it is such a minor point that I would leave the delegation upto the professionals, or take your questions to them personally. Cheers

@@sergeantsodom6969 Thanks for the answer. As I said Triumph owners manual said 11.400 rpm for the rev limiter and the technician sais 10700. Only two possible explanations possible imho, either Triumph is lying or the technician is. If Triumph was lying I could ask my money back as the bike would rev lower than the owners manual.
@Myself6M
@Myself6M Жыл бұрын
If the bike revs 700 rpm more and its torque is high in the revs it can make 15hp no prob. I am a physicist and an Engineer so, I am confident on what I am talking about. Also different Dynos read different torque (True) but all read the same RPM. If not then most likely the tire is spinning or your gear ratio input (in the program) is wrong. Why don't you watch the link I send you and the owners manual page 204? If you are still not convinced please let me know.
