Good of you to keep up the info on you tube, keep it up. Cant wait to get a new panel in my Cessna 180, with an auto pilot ... wooohooo.

I'm adding a D10a to my cessna with local help and IA sign off. It will be used as advertized, IFR. I hope to have the same ability to install in the future your nice HDX Skyview. To late on your ADS-b, I bought one.

Hello. We have the D10A and it’s worked well for about a year. It now has a black screen. We checked power to the instrument and it is powered. Any words of wisdom of what could be wrong?

Regarding the comment thread below: With this being an STC based installation, all installs will require someone with inspection authority (an IA, for example) to approve the installation. Practically speaking, we know that basically all A&Ps know and have access to an IA for things that require it. We think the best thing we can say is that we've definitely seen a desire amongst A&Ps and other smaller entities to have access to the ability to install our equipment. Our initial approach is the start, and will certainly evolve as we learn about the different support, installation, and service requirements of this new market for us. So no promises, but know that we're still in the early days here. Thanks for raising this issue though.

How big a step will it be to go from the baron to the A36 bonanza, basically the same airplane, only one engine difference. A36 pilot who wants this in his airplane. Sorry, not a patient person here, so PLEASE HURRY, LOL.

So, you're saying that you are restricting installs to specific installers? Why should I be forced to have it installed by a third party? Any A&P should be allowed to install it. It's a bit insane to be forced to spend money on outside labor when some could otherwise do it them-self. (Or a non-qualified owner choosing a local A&P who they know and trust to perform the install).

Well no. Not any A&P can install it or any other avionics they are installed by avionics techs at avionics shops.. You're also commenting on the very leading edge of this approval process for other airframes. Like Garmin, Avidine and Aspen you get them installed atapproved avionics shops. The Dynon program will expand rapidly as more and more aircraft types are approved. To think otherwise just shows a failure of imagination.

I just care about a 172. You don't need to be an avionics shop to install avionics!! At least not per FAA. I'm not new to Skyview. I've been flying with Skyview for years and installed several systems and corrected others. This is Dynon making a business decision. A poor one.

You're still missing the point. Like the Garmin G5 this will very shortly be certified for the vast majority of GA airplanes. And as with the G5 there will be a rapid expansion of the shops that can do it. Since an A&P receives no training, certifications or testing for avionics installation I'll stick with an avionics shop to install the new radios and 2 G5s our club is having installed in our 172. Your comments indicate you've flown and worked on experimental installations. As I'm sure you are aware working on certified aircraft is a whole other animal. Again you have a failure of imagination. You've taken this video as the end game and it is certainly not the end game it it just the beginning.

I can't fix your misunderstandings, nor am I interested. Go rent at your club. Being a qualified person, I know a bit more then you about who is qualified to perform an action. They don't teach you that at your club.

If you say so sunshine. Anyone can pretend be anything they want on the internet. I can't fix your target fixated, myopic world view or your lack of ability to see beyond a short 7 minute video. There will be days after this one and things will change. But you have your special truth and will never get beyond that. I really feel very sorry for people like you that can't see beyond the the moment at hand. You are a person that flies airplanes but you'll never be "pilot"
