Episode 6 of Straight Skatin’ takes us to the picturesque working harbour of North Rustico, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Our journey starts at the fishing villages seaside boardwalk, rolls down to the wharf and ends at the North Rustico Lighthouse (1876) on the beach bordered by red sandstone cliffs.
In this video I use a handful of techniques for rollerskating on rough terrain like gravel and sand, rough concrete and wooden boardwalks. These methods include the toe stop or skate board push, toe stop walk, and braiding. Look for an upcoming video describing these techniques in detail. You’d be surprised what surfaces are skateable!
