Wow..can, could, could have.. it has become a peace of cake with all those explanations. I would say can is often pronounced as ken in a light tone by natives. I had once or twice quipped what did you say ?. As such ,we need to hear a sentence fully to give a logical reply. They usually oblige by repeating it, is my personal experience. In fact, could you Please or would you please ìs quite often used to seek help. Thanks a lot. Catch you later.. Bye.
