I built my own dual hub motor dual 52V battery 26" ebike based on a 2010 Trek 3700 and I freaking love it...I call it the "Skyline GTR" of ebikes lol. I am only 120-135lbs depending on my health at any given time and the accelration is wild on this thing. I love it so much. I never peddle. I have a PAS sensor but I only use it for towing.

Also...I ran the bike for a bit with a single motor...two motors made it a whole different beast. If you do offroad or climbing, dual hubs are tough to beat. I actually first built it as a mid drive but I prefer the hubs so much more. They are so smooth and quiet and have enough climbing power with the geared hubs to climb any hill in my escarpment town with ease with zero pedalling.

I habent speed tested mine, but I guess it will do 40mph quite easily. It goes 0 - 30 mph in about 30 meters...like, less than half a small town block. Then I get scared but I just got a helmet so gonna actually speed test it any day now. I also ride some sand....got a.nice beach a block away from my place and I can rooster tail the sand with both wheels lol. 26x2.35 mtb tires, Schwalbe Tough Tom

Some people say adding a second hub motor doesnt improve top speed but anyone with a dual hub bike knows that is bogus...it definitely does increase top speed. Any of the dual hub bike reviews prove it.

I just bought the h7 was on sale for $999 thats $500 cheaper. The h8 is $1500 now. The h7 works flawlessly. Fast up to 45mph with re adjusting the speed limiter. Love it.
@MrCsebike
@MrCsebike 2 ай бұрын
You may have adjusted the wheel size I believe the top speed for the H7 is 32 after adjusting the seed all the way up. The H8 has twice the torque and is faster plus much better off road. But the H7 is a nice bike and if you don't go off road much it might be worth the savings. You can check your speed with a GPS app on your phone.
@bigguy1403

@MrCsebike No I did the speed limiter top speed was 39 not 45 my bad...I know about the tire size. It'll make you go faster but it will not mess up your speed read out. I did a GPS with my phone to make sure it was accurate and it was spot on 39.2
@MrCsebike
@MrCsebike 2 ай бұрын
@@bigguy1403 That's awesome, it's faster than I thought it would go. But so you know setting the tire size is just to get the speedometer accurate it won't change the speed of the bike at all.

@@MrCsebike yes definitely fast! I checked it with GPS but that was on my wife's bike with her riding. I put a GPS unit in her bike basket. She's only 5'4 and weighs 125. Me on my bike I'm 6'4 280lbs I get top speed of 29 mph but that's still not bad for my height and size.

@@matthewstillwagon4841 I didn't buy it yet, because I still haven't put the darn thing together yet. I did buy a 48v 40Ah blender from aliexpress already, because I did the same thing for my old Sportcool 500w ebike. That gave me 85% more range! I will also be using a switch in between the second battery due to the fact that both batteries will be utilized simultaneously and somedays I would only need to use one.

friend of mine bought one of these the problem is the speed on pas1 only 7.5mph it the same on the rest pas2 12.5mph and so on and the speed limit is taken off what would the reason be and he only getting a range around 25miles
@MrCsebike
@MrCsebike 13 күн бұрын
Speed and distance is affected by a lot of outside factors. Baring that it sounds like he has the PAS set to 1-7 other than 1-5 that changes the speed of all but the highest setting. If his bike is still new he may still need to balance the battery, just discharge and charge it a few times. If he likes to run at top speed or has a lot of hills 25 miles may just be what he's going to get. I get 35 miles all throttle about 60% being top speed and no hills. But 75 miles on PAS 1 and 2 not using the throttle. Tell him to try putting al the menu settings back to the preferred settings then up the speed back to 100.

After doing some research i swttled on this bike i looked up the Kepler and people keep saying that customer support is bad and the battery is awful.. not some hardcore biker dude I just want a neat long lasting bike to ride around on the weekends and it’ll probably just sit in the basement 3 days a week so I won’t be going on some mass bike rides every single day. Basically I’ll baby it. It’s a bit pricey but hey after seeing 4-5 thousand dollar bikes I think I hit a bargain on this one especially if it claims to have a 35mph top speed. I’ll make my own video on my thoughts as well once it arrives to see if this bike is truly worth it. Worst case it’s returnable. But I really don’t want to have to do that especially after spending the last 24 hours digging around the internet and letting a few one star reviews scaring me away from the bike that I thought was “the one” I hope I made the right choice!
