what do you think of building a 2 wheel drive bike for off road? I was thinking of bufang mid drive with front wheel hub drive... maybe 2000w total

I bought this bike a month ago. It's my first ebike and I really like it. I agree with pretty much everything he said. Though I got up to 28mph and I weigh 229lbs. Also, I think by tweaking the throttle response time it could get up that hill more easily. That's what I did.

Does your friend still does the frame for e-bikes like in the other video you mentioned ? If so can you tell us how to contact him since you’re not in Utah anymore?

I need help choosing a moped style ebike for a 15 year old who loves trail riding, hills, possible snow, around town, he wants speed and long distance battery life.

Different than my DK200. Mine shipped with dual hydraulic. My Front fork logo says MOZO. My DK does not feel like my other 750 watt. Feels like double that power. Review is a disconnect for me. High point is the front fender?

I love the desin, but would prefer it with a BBSHD mid drive; also it needs a 52v battery. Glad to see the fenders are plastic, I wish more manufacturers would do that; rust and dent proof. I also like that the frame has plenty of room to add a second battery. Now do they offer a cargo rack for the rear?

If I get an acoustic cargo bike with hydraulic brakes do I have to ditch them if I buy a bafang mid drive in order to have the brakes with green engine cut off ?

Looks like we could all do the same/better with EM3EV and AliExpress, or even convert an old mini bikes you mentioned. I bet you could find a decent monkey / c90 frame for cheap. The way the frame is bent under the seat looks like you'll go from hard tail to bobber after a while. Does that hub look a little small for the advertised watts, are they over-amping it? That price is a bit sketch for what they're offering.

How tall are you? Would a 6ft person be comfortable on it?

This bike is a substitute for a normal city cruiser bicycle. When you are tired of pedaling, this is something you can get. Most people think these fat tires will give them more grip, but soon they realise its only for show.

I was tricked on Amazon into buying a Tomofree e-bike when the seller posted a picture of an Freego DK 200. But it was a Tomofree knock off of a Frego and it had a Freego battery with the Freego logo on it. The bike controller went out before the bike had 20 miles on it and replacing it with a new one has become a nightmare.

I have this bike too.. It is very very very bad uphill. I shunted the controller and it is going so much better. From 5 mph with pedaling hard became 16 mph on the same hill. Top speed easy 30mph with me and my son on it (230lbs) and up to 32 on flat. Mounting rear brake was installed in the wrong way and it has almost no brake, I flipped it and it is working perfectly. Fork is sucks and I will replace it. So, so-far just some small mods that cost me nothing and I think it is a great bike for the price. hydraulic front disk brake would be better but not a big issue even if it doesn't make senses to have hydraulic in the rear and not the front..

I got a Fiido T1, & it tears up any hill I've ever encountered, only once I had to use the pedal to help get up a hill, but it was on an expert level trail here in Reno! 😂 I would be SO PISSED to buy an e-Bike, but had to walk it up any moderate hill encountered....

You always seem to be drawn to these kind of moped-style bikes (as am I because they just look so cool) so would you ever carry these kind of bikes at your store? I rather buy a moped-style bike frame, motor and batteries from Johnny than from some generic company. I trust that Johnny would spec out better components that work together. Develop a mid-drive kit for a moped-style bike, which would be very unique to the market. Johnny, you really should consider carrying a line of these kind of bikes.

Stronger brakes in back for liability? Don't want noobs pulling hard for a sudden stop & flying over the handlebars. With this setup they'll lock up the back wheel & skid, making noobs feel cool. A modified Super 73 with a BBSHD in the triangle of the frame. Looks pro & must be a sweet ride.

Save your money folks for something better. I bought a ebike to help me climb hills when I can’t pedal no more. I still get my exercise. If it’s only good for flat ground and camping I’d rather ride a regular pedal bike.

Sure is a lot of unused space in the triangle. Room for a monster battery.

I posted your hub drives vs. mid-drives video and the forums are ablaze. The poster was asking are hub drives always more zippy than mid-drives. All these boomers salty their 80lb hub drives are POS.

They're also lying they're asses off, that's a 750w motor they're claiming is 1200w, yeah PEAK POWER, not nominal.

What I don't like about it: They advertise it as 1200W when it's NOT. That's **PEAK** wattage, not continuous/nominal. The motor is even stamped as a 1200, but it's obvious from its lack of performance--and they even state straight-out on their website that it's "PEAK"--but it's a 500W or 750W. Given that here in the US we rate motors on CONTINUOUS, not peak, it's pretty much fraudulent. It makes uneducated buyers think they're getting something they're not.

That's not a e-bike. It's a scooter.

The whole idea of a Scrambler or Mini-bike is edge of control, strictly off-road, fun. When you add even passable suspension you loose a lot of that fun. Because these are designed for much, much lighter bikes...same with rhe brakes, it is just plain dangerous. If we were still funding The Consumer Product Safery Commission, this would not even be imported. The short wheel base makes these choppy. At least this one doesn't directly place the saddle over the rear wheel. The geometry of this particular bike is front biased towards that sloppy fork, so braking will continue to get worse and it will never handle well, particularly where you brake deep into turns. Look for some serious injuries. It will dive in stopping and in tight turns, throwing the rider forward and pote tially off this moped. It will be more than most can handle in evasive maneuvers. There is no public space in which this bike is legal. It's target market rides where Conservation Officers are most likely to issue it a citation! These type mopeds are not even BSO's. They make all e-bikes and bikers look bad.

Looks like a mini bike from the 70s. Pretend to pedal. You can't have a throttle in national parks.
