From the previous video about the sunroof on w203 c200 a lot of people asked about how to remove the sunroof unit and repair the chain inside. The removal was quite simple, however if you want to do further repairs it can be tricky. So the same process wil apply to many other Mercedes models from w210 generation or others ( w202 c200 e320 cdi e270 cdi ml 320 )

Great job, you even opened a perfectly working sunroof for demonstration❤. My cable rust inside the track, so unfortunately I probably gonna have to change the entire cassette 😢 ------- Quick update: drop my headliner today, there are few tips for you guys: 1. In order to remove c pillar, pop the back end of the panel up (it should pop up pretty easily, then push the panel toward front, don’t pull it inward, you’ll break the plastic. 2. Don’t ever remove b pillar srs decal, it’s just a decoration, if you pry it up, it will either broken into pieces or will be loose and rattling in the future.

Thank you for this very thorough video, I hope I never have to do this but have to comment on the discoloured plastic of your overhead light which indicates that the bulbs either are or have been the wrong wattage and have scorched the plastic

Awesome video, it is the same unit number for the S500 1999-2006. Just opened mine and the cables are very rusty. $45 each cable...

how did you pull out the rusty cable😢, mine cable can move 5cm with motor but that’s it, I can’t pull it out with rotor off, neither the motor will spin any further 😢

So tell me please, can you take out the lid from under the glass on the sunroof? The reason I ask is because I have been having worse and worse experience with my lid's fabric peeling off until I tried to take it out, and I ended up damaging the rubbers on the sunroof glass. So now I want to know if I either can take out the lid and replace the cover fabric before putting it back.

hello, i have a w220 with the roof stuck closed, i saw, for you to remove the roof cover you had to open the roof glass, in my case the roof is stuck closed, what can i do to open the roof, i have tried to open the roof with manually, via the t25 of the motor, but the roof is totally jammed, i have removed the motor, and i have tested the motor it is working, using the overhead control, when i install the motor back the motor is stuck, do not turn, when i insert the t25 to open the roof manually i am applying power to turn the wheel of the motor of the roof chain, but it is not turning stuck, can you help, please

Great job!!! I have the same pb. The sunroof on my W210 E270 CDI is stucked. I can hear an electrical response when I pull the button, but the glass do not move. What do you think the problem is? Hope it's only the motor, cause it seems quite challenging to remove all the roof cover panel.

Check first if it does move when u turn it manually. It might be that the motor is stuck or it does not get enough power

@@The60show on the rotor attached to the motor u will see a point where you can use a Torx bit and spin it manually .

Hey man, me again, i have 2 bad injectors, my fuel pump is using 220 230 BARS of pressure, is there a chance that the pump is bad because the injectors are not giving enough fuel? Thank you again

I absolutely hate sunand moonroofs I get very bad migraines and I see no purpose in them. Is it possible to have a sunroof or moonroof removed and have a normal roof put on your SUV?
