Very entertaining. Thanks. You mentioned "intermediate pilot" a number of times... how would you define an intermediate pilot as opposed to a beginner pilot?

Great question! This is how I would define an intermediate rc pilot from a beginner. Someone who's owned an RC plane (1.0m+) can confidently t/o, fly circuit patterns, have a basic understanding of aerodynamics (ie understands an aerodynamic stall, can recognise the signs of one, anticipate and recover from one) never looses orientation of their plane and finally can comfortably fly an approach and landing. That's how i would define a intermediate RC pilot 😉🍻

I know I’m late to viewing this but I had to comment on how great the behind the pilot camera view looks. It really adds realism, since you are viewing out the side windows and windshield like a passenger.

On that first take off it looked that it got stuck for a second in a rut so it built up a couple extra RPMs and I swear it took off within 1 foot. Talk about a short takeoff. Wow this is my dream plane. Looks like it flies easily or your just a smooth flyer, but what a machine

The Dracco caught my eye when I learned it's history from Mike Patey's vision to fruition then the crash I had to pull the trigger when Eflight & Horizon released it to do my small part helping Mike keep Draco alive, love to fly it a night beautiful plane, great flying & video peace RC Kiwis ✌🛩

Great video and review, thanks for sharing. I have not had the opportunity to fly in low light. I ordered my Draco spring of 2021. Extremely stable airframe and lots of lift actually have to input some down to set up an approach. Gotta fly the rudder to bank, slip and knife edge. Maiden video you said to power it all the way to the ground is true, just fly it to all the way in. I found if I set the battery back to the edge of the CG I can high alpha with some power and STOHL in. Just like Mike did it. You gotta try it. I'm flying the HRB 6s 6000 mAhr battery and the I'm getting up to 9 minutes of flight time at a 3.8v finish. Thanks again and I'm subscribed to see what you do next.

Sweet vid guys, just a heads up you will stall faster in turns if flaps are deployed. Run no flaps for slow flight when turning. See how it works with the big Draco!

Cheers mate! But I have to disagree with that one... Flaps lower the stall speed. However it can make a plane more unstable and more prone to a wingdrop stall.

As a landing game peg out a polyester ground sheet with lines drawn on it. Then challenge your club mates to get closest to the mark.

@@TheRcKiwis so the wing comes off. Haha. I brought a hobby zone stratos years back, it had this neat gimmick. The is held on by magnets. If you crash it disconnects from the fuselage to prevent extreme damage.
