I assume this is a recording of Burgess' actual voice -- it certainly sounds like him. I am curious as to the source of this text and recording.

Oh goodness me no, it's simply a vocal reading of stuff he has written, though his actual voice can of course be heard in many videos uploaded to the In Search of Anthony Burgess channel.
