E281: Back Out With The Black Edition Tamiya Egress, With Added BZ Super Stock Motor. Yes!

It seems to be a running theme of late, having videos cut short whilst filming, this one is dog related and I didn’t quite fancy having a £500 car chewed. Apart from that it ran great on the updated BZ motor I installed which was always intended for the build. Please ignore through the video I kept calling the motor a BRZ for sone reason 😉 take care and enjoy the Easter break.

Fun run! That BZ motor is a great fit for those cars. Nothing insane like a brushless system, but plenty of speed.

Definitely agree the BZ goes well in it the egress not to little and not over the top :)

The BZ is still a 23turn like the rz but it’s set up more for off road use , top speed should be about the same from both motors

Great motors ,they fly in a DT 02 ..53581 for replacement brushes 😂😂😂😂😂 I’ve tried others without success ..nice car fella goes well❤❤

I did use one for a while in a dt02 but swapped out for a 19t checkpoint motor, certainly shifted with that motor in. Cheers for watching Craig and for the brushes number

Hello Andy, Good choice in motor, i have one in my PC classic, lol i've only managed to run it for five minutes in a park before it got its front tyres bitten, thankfully no damage, seeing this did make me laugh - on seeing the dog, i thought "no, seriously not, same thing could happen" lol must be something to do with those 89 4wd classic buggies/ brushed retro motor BZ combo,.. the perfect whisle lol. She does sound bloody nice, sad to hear you sold your PC, but if the Egress is you retro ride then no complaints from me. Cheers.

Yeah I totally didn’t want a damaged body shell on the egress if the dog got to carried away. I do like the super stock motor series , but pricey sometimes but there not bad. The procat was very cool but probably not going to use it , so I moved it on. Can’t keep them all ;) cheers :)

@@andyrobinsonrc2480They are lovely motors (sucker for old school brushed me) part of me wants to grab a 27T Dirt tuned for the Cougar but they are £30 compared with £34 for a BZ on evilbay, crazy when comparing the performance. But if we want big T to continue producing, better support em, cheers and best wishes.

i’ve got same motor in my blackfoot only i changed the bushings to full bearings so easy much better now

Supposedly it’s good for about 2/3 extra mph with bearings installed

@@andyrobinsonrc2480 i doubt you would even notice it to be honest but it is more future proof and easier to look after i was wrong mines not a bz it’s the rz super stock motor not that it matters all better than a stock 540

It’s funny as sometime I struggle to think of where to run my cars sometimes. Maybe I’m spoilt for grassy fields ;) The Egress was running well on that new motor , certainly zips along nicely. Cheers mate

Very nice! I am sure it was much more fun running in drier conditions and it sure seems more zippy with the new motor! You can't catch a break lately with getting in full runs! I hope the next outing is one you can actually drain a battery!!! Take care Andy and I love the buggy, it looks great!

Ha ha , yes a full battery would be good to get through. Dry conditions was much better as well for running in, less cleaning involved. I’m sure my next video will out doors will be a fully completed video and run. Cheers for watching Addam appreciated

Hi Angus , I do run a rc club, but it’s an indoor carpet club not sure I’d want to race it unless I change the body , wheel/tyres first etc. never say never though ;)

You sold your procat? What you doing Andy? You'd have to pry mine from my cold dead fingers, same goes with the cougar classic but even more so. Such awesome handling cars for the year they were designed. I'd love an egress black though

They are very cool buggy’s and British made but I race a 2wd Mardave cobra and they were just sitting in my shelf in the end so I thought I’d sell them re-coup some money and let someone else enjoy them

Missed the first video on this mate . It’s stunning . Eventually I’d like a high end tamiya . What do you recommend? The avante , egress or vanquish ? And i might treat it to a tamiya brushless Motor as it’s in for a Penny at this price . Any advice be appreciated buddy 😊👍 I have some fantastic footage of dogs chasing my rc Cars but I’m not sure I can use it ? What’s you thoughts ?

Hi Dom. Thank you . I can recommend the egress as I’ve built one , it’s probably a little bit better of a car than the avante performance wise. Both are works of art though, the vanquish is similar but half the cost of the others as it more plastic based. They go well though. Re: footage of your cars being chased by dogs , do what ever makes you happy content wise maybe use the footage for shorts on youtube? Take care :)

I would have put a brushless system like 4000 I got a rz motor for 30 dollars from Japan with no shipping and handling.

Maybe if I was going to race it I’d consider it but I don’t think it needs a brushless motor for just running about

@@andyrobinsonrc2480I understand what you mean, that bz has livened it up But just feeling that brushless power whizzing along even if it’s just up the park really makes it worthwhile. Especially if you use an esc with boost and turbo it is really addictive and sounds amazing when spooling up at speed . I have a 7 turn HW I’m my db01 and it was a rush driving it on an Astro 5 a side pitch .
