It's pretty clear from the demos that dual analog is a step back from infrared pointing. Hope FPS developers realize that and incorporate fully customizable wiimote control options in their games. So far I think Black Ops Wii had the best customization options and if every FPS on WiiU could achieve that level of support I'd be very happy. KB+Mouse >>> Wiimote >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dual analog

@ThoseGuysPodcast Its a new system, its compatible with all wii technology (controllers peripherals and the like, but it is a new console overall.)

Nice to see this developer roundtable, Killer Freaks may have some potential hopefully the graphics will be able to pushed significantly harder which I suspect they will as this is likely very very early work on unfinished hardware.

Oh.. curious btw.. what button is pressed to enable the sprint(run) on the ghost recon came? I'd assume it would be activated by clicking the analog sticks on the other console controllers, but the Wii U analogs dont seem like they would have that "clicking" function.

@Fuzunga not if you use it well. Use analog sticks for rough aiming and then fine tune with the gyros in the tab. But yeah the moving in circles was stupid looking.

Make Wiimote for a FPS -standard, and release Far Cry 3 for Wii U. In some games the uPad could be used as a kind of back pack, where you could find inventories and maps. For example, instead of pausing the game for browsing, say, a hacking tool from a menu, you could put the weapons(Wiimote) down and pick the uPad for playing a hacking mini game in it...and perhaps, if you are attacked while you wait for hacking sequence to be ready, you need to put it down and pick up Weapons again.

Im confused about 2 things... 1st achievmets were shown during the tom clancy online bit. It said a guy got the achievment boom head shot? That mean Nintendo will have achievments like the 360? Also I dont get what they meant buy a high class offer will establish the game as a service? Whats that mean?

@OEllinas89 It's very early development of course the graphics look bad but the AC guy did say that the console could run the same engine as the ps3 and 360 use without any trouble.

Ok. Watched the video, and I need to take my words back a little. The gyro-aiming in Freaks looks fantastic. It looks a bit like virtual reality, a window to game world. Use that in Ghost Recon too, but don't forget Wiimote! Use it instead of Classic controller in brute mode. The RTS vs FPS in freaks is freaking awesome BUT ...aaa...the KZfaqs comment restrictions force me to continue in next comment.

continued... Make it a RTS then, and don't just teleport freaks out of thin air!!! Make the teleporting so energy consuming, that you need also gather freaks, that are separated on the map. Most freaks should come from somewhere.

I love how people are talking about graphics as if they know the system's specs. Nintendo hasn't released them and you probably won't be seeing them until another few weeks/months. All you know about is the controller's specs and not the console's specs. So quietly sit in your corners and continue blindly bashing Nintendo because you still think it's 2006.

Wow. It's like the Q&A guys wanted to try to find a way to hate Nintendo, and couldn't with their questions. Its non stop skepticism from these guys. Dev kits aren't final and its so new that no one knows how to fully max the use of the hardware yet and it still looks comparable with just tech demos to the competition. Given the doors this system is opening to developers in creating new experiences for players I'd say its time to start believing in Nintendo.

@shaowebb People should have always belived in Nintendo. Sure the Online and 3rd party suffered on the Wii but Nintendo has always delivered. Nintendo is a true video game developer. They make games that are memorable and addicting. If you didnt grow up with either Mario, or Zelda, or even Kirby then your not a gamer. Nintendo makes game for the sake of making games so people can have fun and enjoyment in there spare time. Microsoft sure they make pretty good games but they only care for money.

@supernovacomics LMFAO The consoles today can't even do 720p and 60fps. Look at a game like Battlefield 3 and how it completely smokes anything on current gen consoles and you don't even need an expensive PC to play it. PS4 and Xbox 720 are going to make the Wii U look just like the Wii when compared to the PS3 and 360. 3rd party support will dry up so fast it'll make your head spin.
