It was announced today that E3 2023 is officially canceled, and it seems like E3 is gone for good. In this video, I discuss why Nintendo fans should actually care about E3 dying, as that era of Nintendo represented the best way the company has ever delivered game news and portrayed its brand.
While we still have Nintendo Directs which have replaced E3 presentations since 2013, they pale in comparison to the best E3 years for Nintendo like 2004, 2006, and 2010. Remember the Twilight Princess reveal in 2004? Or the iconic Reggie speech? To date, those have yet to be beaten.
What do you guys think? Should Nintendo stick to Nintendo Directs or try to revive the magic of E3 with their own live press conferences?
