I don’t think we’ll ever see such a huge graphical leap like we saw from n64 to GameCube. So incredible to see people’s reaction to it at that time.

It's funny and somewhat depressing at the same time. It's been just as long now since the 3DS remake's release as the original's release was back then.

I love watching okd E3 before it became a big sell out corporate show and ended up ruining itself..😢 It really was THE show for gamers back then.

I'm glad the console wars era kinda faded the more these companies started intergrating accessibility and collaboration... but man do I miss the competitive atmosphere that challenged them to be better. Now every bad decision, every studio closed or games cancelled is just accepted as industry flaw. Back then, if Xbox would close Tango and Arkane Austin, Nintendo and Sony would be at the frontlines calling them out for it. Now they just sit there in silence. No beef, no PR shade, no consequences. Just another day in our 'artistic' industry.

Genuinely evil how Nintendo included Ridley in the intro even though he’s not even a stage hazard in-game. Everyone cheered for him too, I see why he was so highly requested from then on

We want a remake of overruns of time with today’s graphical technology. I’m talking a full rebuild from the ground up, but don’t remove things like they did with RE2 remake. Leave everything the same, but with a modern graphical twist.

Nintendo was delusional thinking they could be "close" to Sony. PS2 was a behemoth. It was definitely a technically better console in many regards but they truly hated Sony. I mean, Nintendo created this beast we still have today. If they only did business like real businessmen, not backstabbing and humiliating your partner. They truly did that to Sony and then Sony went and created one of the best consoles to ever exist. PlayStation. It was downhill for Nintendo after that. Business wise. Not talking impact, games or my opinions of actually using the consoles. Just talking business as they did in here.

I’m sure this was a whole different feeling back then as an early 20 year old. GameCube was such an underrated console to many at the time, which is understandable with the PS2 and Xbox. But man, you can’t beat the feeling that Melee does. Especially this video. I’m truly jealous of all those who were able to see this alive and be able to comprehend what was happening! What a time to have been alive.
