I'm 6'6" and ~300lbs, and I ended up making my own floor adapters with some plate steel and some Planted 90deg side mounts to fit into my E36. With a Sparco Sprint L and a deep dish steering wheel, its fits well and is really comfortable. Looks like I have more headroom than Moose does too, unless that's just the angle. Love seeing projects including big guys like me!

Quick, quick! Give him the seven second emergency window-exit test! Oh and he has to be fully geared... I DARE you for the next episode! LOL Man I miss My M3... :( By the way if you are doing suspension work go with Condor Speed-shop bushings... it's not Hype, they make the best bushings. Had them on my M3 and have them on my e30 as well. huge difference! You'll see.

You have a very rare vehicle I’ve owned one here in Australia is it a 3.0 or 3.2 S50 because the US cars are only (S52) or just a M50 hybrid . European spec engine S50B30/32 ITB intake system, (double )VANOS system not single intake ,extractor from factory, even the some had SMG transmission like in E46 m3 ,even the diff was different 188 or 210 mm if you had 3.2 S50 , rear end subframe was different too , even front rotor were different on the euro cars had floating rotors .

I couldn't figure out the wiring on my e36 for the horn. I got an Omp hub, and a grip royal wheel. Came with the wrong connectors and theres also the issue with bypassing some secuirity issue.

Why offset the seats further inboard I assume for safety? I read that's about the only complaint for the BMW M2 the seats aren't centered with the wheel too far in board

e36 thing, that is the only way you can bolt it in, oem stock seat are also offset inboard (you can clearly see that in 1:52 min)

I have the VAC adaptors in my E46 and they are bloody expensive to get to Canada, about $750. Problem is I'm 6'7" and with the VAC adaptors and Corbeau FX1 Pro I still am not as low as i want to be and I have the sunroof deleted and the bottom mounts hacked off the seat. about 1 finger of clearance without a helmet if I sit up, these brey krause mounts interest me a lot because I wanna take it to the track but I wont fit with a helmet as is. how much were they?

I am 6"4 and ran into the same problem. Same solution. Sunroof delete helped as well and lowers the body roll. Get a headliner card by watching on www.row52.com for a 318 coupe. In canada lots of tye base 318 were slicktops. Now moose just needs a z3 rack and solid coupler to really improve that steering.

@Speed Academy Moose I love you man & your love for your euro E36 M3, but for health reasons for ease of seat fitment & just life in general...maybe time to factor in diet & exercise into your lifestyle. You seem short of breath a lot when working on the car...
