After discovering a damaged oil squirter in my oil pan I had to get it replaced. Another fun job on my project car. Some people also call this an oil jet.

congrat 1k subs !! I've got two projects coming, a 91 yj jeep and a 2007 mini cooper. I don't need to convince everyone who is going the easiest one. When doing a simple repair on the mini, you need to disassemble half of the car..... After two minor repairs, you probably know 90% of every component of the car !!!! btw, you're a very patient guy, I'm sure some bad words are going to come of my mouth when I'll work on my mini !! :)

Congratulations on 1k subs, everyone who has an R53 should be watching your channel! It is refreshing (and I feel your pain) to see the same struggles I have with mine, instead of these mechanics who seem to perfectly work on everything with nothing going wrong.

Yes! I always say if you own an R53 then watch modMini but then watch mine to see how it’s going to work for you as an amateur.

Thanks! I'm a R53 owner too. I recently installed an oil pan baffle to prevent oil starvation during 100 mph 30-degree banking turns.

I have the RMW oil pan baffle installed. Hoping it does the trick!

Hissing, isn't it the compression coming out the valves into the exhaust as you rotate the crank. Sounds like a good thing to me well sealed pistons & valves. Also the engine will have the inlet open on the other 2 cylinders so you could hear a bit of inlet noise as well.... Mine has oil leak from the a system & a knock from the rear end u need to chase down. It's always something with minis, the time we get fault free driving them makes up for all the fix's we have to do 👍 PS: congrats on 1,000 subs 👍👏

So what was the tool you used to get the broken screw out with??

Speed out! (My Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/40aLaKG ) It worked because they are banjo bolts. I would have been royally screwed if if was a solid bolt.

@RegardingAutomobiles I have some of these. No you would have been OK. Just drill a small hole in the broken bolt shaft and put the appropriate size in. ( if there was one. That would have fit.) Thanks for the info.
