Nice and congrats on getting it up and running. I already mentioned in a previous video that shocks/coils are a great next step. Of course that would require another alignment so maybe wait until next year.?.? For set up on my R53 with the same rear-end mods but with 1" drop and 17"x8" tires, I had the shop set up my alignment using the GP2 camber and toe numbers. Ended up needing 10mm spacers for the tires to clear the front springs, but the car handles like a dream.

I had loads of little electrical issues on mine (2005 R52) like intermittent engine warning light, windscreen wipers operating randomly, slight lumpy misfire every now and then. On advice from a forum i changed the ignition switch and it transformed the car. Not saying you need to do that as i think you're correct on the wheel speed sensors, but bear it in mind as a cheap fix incase the electical gremlins dont go away. Pretty cool to see it running again.... you've got now enough knowledge about those mini to go work on a dealer !! :)) I'll go back to see many of your videos when I'll begin my mini projet. there's a lot of useful infos about everything on this car...... keep going on, it's going to be faster to get the 2k followers.....

Just a suggestion..... you could always drain the oil after a while, put the plug back in .... and then pour the oil back into the engine (rather than doing a oil change). Thay way would would satisfy your (nagging) curiosity?

Glad it’s all back together! As for the abs sensors I can’t remember if you fited the r53 ones(they are smaller in the hole) than the r56 ones as they can interfere. I have fitted Delphi branded ones as recommended and been fine. Also black vacuum tube goes to the fuel pressure regulator keep an eye on it the can come off and cause it to run lean..

I kid you not, you should always go with dealership sensors. I replaced my wheel sensor with one that was after market and still had issues with the Christmas tree. My neighbor is a MINI mechanic and his first question was, "After market sensor?" I ordered one from his dealership and all my issues were resolved. Later I replaced my cam shaft position sensor with another after market one, and sure enough, same thing happened. I replaced it with the dealership one and no more check engine light. For some reason, these cars are really sensitive in terms of the sensors.

It's good to see it running again! How would you describe the difference between the original dual-mass flywheel and the Valeo kit you put in the Mini? Is it noticeable? Does it feel better? Also, I recommend you get a code reader. I got an iCarSoft one, for around 230 Euro that could get into a lot of modules (I guess all of them?), and it did register which wheel speed sensor gave a bad reading.
