E46 M3 Gets Major Stopping Power Upgrade! 380MM All Around

The BMW E46 M3 oem brakes are very sufficient for the chassis and does a great job performing but what happening when you upgrade that braking system?. In this video i'll be upgrading the a 380mm 15in two piece floating rotors all around with massive 6 piston brembo calipers up front and 4 piston brembo calipers in rear all finished in a bright yellow powder coated look.

Great video. Brembo kit looks awesome. The recommended bleeding from the caliper furthest from the master cylinder 1st.

Looks great what was total cost? How’s the rusting of the rotors after a wash… hate that about my stock oem

Thanks, I know what you mean about the OEM rotors buy these still shine after a wash so the all around quality of this entire kit I'm happy with. Total cost was about $3500 if I'm not mistaking. It's a while now since I purchased them.

After well over 1k Miles on various types of roads I feel very confident with the brake bias and thinks it's pretty balance. It's no GT kit which is lighter with almost perfect bias but it brakes well and have very good streetable bias.

Well I'm running 4 OEM Rear competition 19 rims so the offset is already aggressive up front. No wheel spacers required for front or rear. I placed 10mm spacers on the rear for the perfect fitment on the rear but not because i needed to clear the brakes. .

@@alhuegayle7550 thanks for getting back to me. Yes a 9.5 wouldn't need a spacer for sure. I just don't want to buy these and fit spacers, if they don't fit under the cal OEM 8.5 fronts. Your car looks great !!

@@King_Sok yeah I honestly don't see these fitting behind an 8.5 at all. I could be wrong. UT judging by the little space there is with the 9.5 I'm pretty confident an 8.5 would require possibly an 8 to 10mm spacer.

They're 18Z and came with no part numbers or instructions. I ordered these a while ago and jist got around to install. I'm gonna try and see if I can get the contact for them.

how do they feel with the big brakes i want to do a 135i big brake swap on my e46 but heard some negative things about swapping to big brake like the brake pedal being to soft after and taking longer to come to complete stop

Well since this video I've driven Maybe 100 miles or so on the brakes and they feel great to me. These are porsche cayenne big brakes plus my entire car set up with the Ford rear end makes things a little different so my opinion might be void to a stock M3. Notice in the video I also use a power bleeder to make sure every caliper is 100% air free. I haven't heard any reviews about the 135i set up till now.
