I have the 630i convertible. Great car, I disagree with you on its auto gear changing! Maybe a lag on kick down but that's about it. Mine is very responsive however it has had the software updated. Its on 150,000 miles and sounds sweet as. Love them though 😁👍

Super good video. I'm looking to buy one. I'm personally more drawn to the 650 as compared to the 645. Is there any difference aside from power?

Not much, more power and some options

Nice video bro just a quick question I'm thinking of buying a 6 series. If I want to transfer all my tunes from my phone to the infotainment system does the infotainment save them by bluetooth or is there a memory card slot for that.

Airmax90_king Hi... neither. The e63 doesn’t have a Bluetooth or SD or hard drive system (like the next generation F series). There is a multidisc CD changer in the glove box and a CD slot in the centre console. But, most facelift e63 and e64 models also came with an Aux socket in the storage compartment underneath the front armrest. You can then programme one of the 8 channel/shortcut buttons on the centre console to switch over into the Aux input. I have a Brodit phone holder, which my iPhone docks into. It charges the iPhone as well as taking the Aux signal. All of the connections are set up/wired behind the centre console; there’s plenty of room behind it. The single cable from the Brodit splits into an audio jack and a USB for charging; all out of view behind the centre console. I run the charging from a USB socket which in turn takes its power from the cigarette lighter. Then, run the Aux cable back underneath the console and up into the armrest storage, which is where the Aux input socket resides. The problem there, is that the Aux input doesn’t have a pre-amp, which means that the signal is very quiet. So, I installed a Fiio headphones amp. It also sits inside the armrest storage. You need one of the more expensive Fiio amps. This is because the more expensive ones have a analogue off/on switch (ie. you switch the power switch to ‘on’ so that it’s on all of the time so that you don’t need to switch it on every time you want to listed to music!). FYI: the cheaper Fiio amps have electronic power switches; a pain, because if you had one of those, you would need to reach into the storage under the armrest every time you wanted to listen to music. Power for the Fiio also comes from a USB socket in the same place as the Brodit takes its power supply. Finally, there’s the controls to switch between tracks; because it would be illegal to be fiddling with your phone while driving, wouldn’t it? Easily solved with a Satetchi Bluetooth remote control. It’s only the size of a £2 coin and I have it mounted on the rear of the steering wheel. It is battery powered; I’ve been using mine for four years and it’s still working with the original Satechi battery. (Which is just a flat watch battery.) The Saterchi doesn’t get in the way of your iPhone Bluetooth connection to your car, for making telephone calls. When a call comes in, the Saterchi immediately yields to the car’s Bluetooth phone connection. As soon as the call is over, the Saterchi automatically and instantly, reconnects to the phone. There you go.... that’s how to do it. There are no wires visible, your phone is being charged, and the sound quality is easily as good as it is when playing music with the CD player in the glovebox. Alternatively, you could spend £500/$500 on having bespoke module installed; which only does the same job as the fix I installed. Or, another alternative is to install an SD card reader/player in the glovebox. They run off of the same connection as the CD autochanger, but that means that you can’t use the autochanger any more. You can also control the operation through the controls on the steering wheel. Costs around £200/$200, but you lose the CD player.

I need some serious help. I have a 2008 bmw 650i coup e63. I have been trying desperately to find a after market double din media player. I found one that I really like but here's my problem and I'm seriously hoping someone can help me. I can not find a radio harness / dash kit for my car anywhere at all so I'm stuck. I would really appreciate if anyone can tell me where I can buy one please.
@gulgul20065 жыл бұрын
Frankly I wouldn't devalue the car like that and put some crap in it. The factory deck is plenty fine. But if you must there are a bunch of custom shops on ebay selling harness kits. There are also universal harness kits which require SOME work but will fit. again, I advise against that choice. BMW is German. This means you can count on electronic integrations. It isn't just a radio, it is also an MPU for many of the logistics within operational functions used by the main board. You're essentially removing an organ like a kidney or pancreas. You aren't just taking out something useless like an appendix.
