EXCALIBUR ARMY 152 mm self-propelled gun-howitzer DANA M2
This new system features a armoured cabin, new fire control system and several other enhancements rendering the renowned weapon a solution for improving existing 152 mm artillery capabilities.
The M2 system is much faster, more accurate and autonomous. It keeps all the advantages of the original platform and still performs exceptionally - even after more than 40 years since the original concept was introduced to service in Czechoslovakia.

Unfortunately Ukraine received Dana 1, which is an older model but still pretty bad ass. It also still uses the soviet 152mm amination pretty sure same shell as 2S1 gvozdika.

How is the drivetrain arranged for this type of vehicles? With the rear-mounted engine, it spins in the opposite direction when compared to the traditional, front-mounted position. So, there must be a way revert the rotation again so that the transfer case and the drive shafts in the backbone tube rotate in the traditional direction. I would be grateful for your help as I wanted to build a rally truck with the rear-mounted engine.

I think it requires 2 loaders, but they are sitting inside the back armored cabin, shielded from fumes and noise. Atleast that is how DANA-m1 was. next generation Morana is capable to do so, but that is still a prototype stage.

You can buy Tatra 815. Dana is build on Its chasis and you can legally buy it. The only dowside is that it looks less cool.

The company is export oriented, so youtube is a platform to advertise for free. You may not buy this vehicle, but I reccomend you to check out firetrucks from Tatra, those are even cooler and come in red. They even sell armored versions.

One of the best new military hardaware company in the world right now. Keep the good job and keep producing some new systems but some old modernized versions of battle tested hardware because if it works build them with new improvement, and you guys should build a new field cannon of 127mm 5" in gun 55 calibers and a 76mm or a 88mm field towed howitzer with rapid fire to support infantary, will be a best seller and you should invest in amunnition factory

@@erenpopega what would make this reload faster is have both come out inline at the same time. so once the spent casing is ejected, it doesnt put one piece in then the next. it just places down the shell and the casing, then rams the whole thing in at once

The Tatra system can move on with a semi-axle hung up with no wheel attached, but it is an emergency solution. Also all tires ale equipped with a CTIS so unless the damage is really substantial the vehicle mobility is not compromised.

@@Excalibur-Army Do you have or plan to have the self-healing tires? Can the vehicle cover itself in smoke? Grenades only cover it from one direction, but drones will see the howitzer. Would you reccomend to have a separate vehicle for anti-air tagging along, or having roof mounted machine gun? Any plan for small ground-air missiles against drones? Will the engines work with USA´s fuel? Not always an option in joint military operations to have the high cetan fuel europe sells.

@@Pyrochemik007 - self-healing tires: no comments available for future projects - smoke curtain: SGL as an emergency measure against ground-based firepower - anti-aircraft measures: via specialized vehicles that we offer as an integrated part of our recommended artillery batallion structure, roof mounted NSV 12,7 mm is available - GTAM not available, see above - Tatra engines run well all over the world

Súčiastky do vzoru 58 sa vyrábali aj v slovenskej aj v českej federálnej republike. Snáď mi nebude nejaký človek s germanskym menom hovoriť ako to je kde ja žijem.

Yes, with the original munition. Using DN1CZ you can reach targets up to 25.5 km.

You are right. The system was developed half a century ago. It may not ne the best fit to challenge enemy equipped with long range counter-battery fire with intelligent munition, but it is still a reliable asset. Thanks to the M2 kit it can shoot and scoot and still provide valuable support within its range, especially in difficult terrain. Last, but not least, systems you mention are a different procurement level. Have a good day and thank you for the questions!

What an extremely unstable platform when firing compared to the Swedish Archer 🤔🤔 Also the Archer could easily have an automated Grenade launcher/TOW missile/Stinger/.50 caliber turret mounted on the cabin for self-defence whereas this one ahs no defensive capabilities at all for the crew...

It's an artillery, not an IFV... That's why they operate way behind the lines, and are supported by other vehicles. Also, ShKH vz 77 DANA has a Heavy Machine Gun mounted in the back of the turret.
