EA08SVF Ford Focus close pass, twice, and abuse, court result; 8 points & £1,346 in costs/fines

Driver in a crazed rush to get passed, close passes in anger, an obvious punishment pass. In such a rush, he had time to stop for a chat, yelled at me to move over, I carried on not prepared to engage with someone so enraged. They then punishment passed me again, squeezing me in to the parked vehicle so that they could yell more abuse at me. I hope he enjoys his driving course and learns something.

Well done on you for reporting these idiots. I can’t believe how close some of these drivers get. This is why I don’t cycle anymore

That cost him £1,346. I wouldn't rate that as good value for money.

You're not wrong. I'm afraid many forces use the no right to reply and do not respond to requests for feedback. The put up and shut up approach.

@@makecyclingsafeagain6575 I ride the same roads as you. Had many an incident on Lexden/London road. Submit at least 3 videos a week

@@someguymatts rubbish isn't it. I take huge detours to avoid Lexden and London Road, the two main roads to schools. God help any kids cycling to school.

Essex Police have processed many of mine where the total footage is sub one minute. The extra bit either side very often adds nothing.

What a numpty. Glad he was fined. Considering getting cams myself after this. Had so many close shaves similar to this. It’s a battlefield out there maaaan. All need to calm down.

Good footage of an aggressive and dangerous driver. I’ve been looking for a practical front camera, but can’t find a suitable one. Would be interested to know what you use, please, and if it gives you good mileage between charges. Keep safe out there.

Hi there. I use a Cycliq Fly 12 front camera, it's also a good light and mounts on the handlebars. I've probably had it 5 years now, very happy with it. Battery life is very good, several hours with light off, half that or less with light on.

@@makecyclingsafeagain6575 you cyclists are not exactly perfect. You jump red lights and think you have a god given right to cycle how you like, without any regard for the Highway Code. Your not insured and don’t pay road tax. Get a life filming for your own little poor victim act fool

@@matthewdoyle3877Nobody is a perfect driver or cyclist and we all make mistakes. For the driver to repeat the action showed that it wasn't a mistake in the first place and he is just as likely to do something stupid to you in your car should a situation arise.
