Really enjoyed this video. Daniel Ricciardo is one of the top drivers in f1, something he proved too many times. It's always good watching him on and off track because not only is he an awesome driver, he has a great personality too.

I love Daniel and feel for him in his current situation There is a lot more happening behind the scenes at Red Bull that most don't know about. Let's just say I am not a fan of Marko. Good luck next year and beyond Daniel.

Ricciardo is a great racing driver - well worthy of winning the F1 championship - he's super quick - has demonstrated his ability to win races - and I hope his move to Renault will be a positive one. I wish him all the best for the future. His constant smile and friendly demeanour belies his steely determination behind the wheel. He's nobodies fool and isn't scared to show his feelings if wronged by another driver. One of my true favourites on the grid.

This is amazing. From Canada, this is exactly how we talk with hockey players or most celebrities. It's a humbleness that keeps one grounded, you really can remember growing up in the same neighborhood etc.

Poor sportsman, Max Verstappen made him look like an amateur, he would rather race in a slower car than be a No2 driver for Red Bull.

DannyRic has now gp wins this season then Max. He's just had bad luck with reliability issues etc. Honda's track record hasn't been very good in recent times. So I think Danny made a conscious choice and only time will tell how it plays out.

Daniel Ricciardo is still in f1 thanks to Verstapen's bad luck in races. Max has flattened him almost in every qualifying. Ricciardo maintains Lewis wins because he has the fastest car, and suggests he can beat Hamilton. But this same Ricciardo cannot even beat his own teammate in the same car just as Lewis beat (his mates).

Max has had better results, agreed. But it is also true that Ricciardo has, and probably will again, beaten Max in races this season. Both drivers have experienced bad luck at times this year so it is difficult to make a clear-cut comparison, but seeing as a driver’s full talent is displayed outside of qualifying where there are more variables to work with (overtaking, tire wear, etc), I don’t think a driver’s value can be decided through qualis. Max and Daniel are both great drivers and great friends and are close in points in the Driver’s Championship, why can’t we get over this need to prove that one driver is better than another?

Ricardo has been beaten by almost every team mate he ever had - Vergne in 2012, Kvyat in 2015 and Verstappen in 2018. He has won a lousy 2 poles in 150 attempts over 8 years (the greats have around 25-50 poles at the same stage) and has won just 7 races (5 of those flukey - only 2 were earned.) [For comparison Alan Jones won 13 races in just 112 attempts - and a World Championship - which Riccardo never will now that his career has started the familiar downhill slide form top team to midfield team.] No wonder Mercedes and Ferrari don't want him. #OVER-RATED and OVER-HYPED!

Thinking that you can compare the 1980 season with the modern hybrid era like that 1 on 1 kind of shows that you have no clue about F1. You can't just take the numbers at face value, you have to look a bit further than that. For example: a third place in a 2018 Force India is much more impressive than 5 wins in a 2016 Mercedes.

The Red Bull is a top car - both drivers have won races in it! that does not ever happen in a mediocre car.

At some circuits like Monaco the Red Bull is BETTER than the Merc and Fazz. Over all circuits the Merc and Fazz are slightly better but not by much and that still means the RB is the 3rd best car over all circuits - 3rd best car of 10 with occasional spikes to top car when the circuit suits it is almost as good as it gets - its more than 99% of drivers ever get - try selling Ricardo's hard luck sob story to guys stuck in any of the other teams - they would jump at the chance to be in his RedBull car!

@ Matt Student - Did you see the Japanese Grand Prix today - BOTH Red Bulls ahead of BOTH the Fazzes. PROOF Red Bull is the best car after the Mercedes. HAHAHA OMG you are OWNED now! ROFL
