I got mine finally. I did a 30miles run and ended with battery power of 65%. Pros: Battery holding or doing what it claim the range should/large 2.5" screen. The unrestricted advance settings!!! All my previous bike top speed is been 20mph, unlike the APUS now is set to 31mph but in reality I think I clocked it at 28 max. I also able to change the PAS mode, assistance power, is great BUT still learning to fine tune it to my like. The bike will easily peak over 800watts, when you need the tort/power on your highest PAS mode. The Front LED turns on automatically when detects tunnels, or lights assistance need it. The biggest Cons are: I had to change the saddle. The battery cover is transparent, see through the cells. The pink or purple LED doesn't bother me as much as I rarely drive it at night. When USB devices are plug-in to the battery, the performance of the bike drops significantly. (maybe I am wrong, I will update this review later on).

Hey question for you, the transmission of 7 gear doesn't have a gear high enough that allows you to pedal hard (with strength) at max speed right ? Meaning that at that speed pedaling will be super light it will just be to activate the motor and you won't force at all on the pedals ? I am looking for a bike that goes fast but also workout my legs.

I'm impressed. Some e-bikes are built trying to not look like an e-bike, but this one embraces it. Love the frame design, love the shark battery actually looking like a shark, and though I'm used to quite a bit more power, 800 watts from a 350 watt nominal motor is nice. Most hub motors can peak at twice the nominal rating, then you usually get a 20 to 50% safety margin above that (depending on the brand). I also like the display, settings, brakes, and even the headlight style despite it's limitations. I don't like the thumb throttle or that it's on the wrong side. I also don't like the lack of fenders, no suspension fork, no chainring guard, the throttle limited by PAS level, and no rack options. I do love me some cruise control though! I think the battery size is about right for this bike, and adding another string of cells to increase capacity would have spoiled the battery's good looks. The downside is this bike would be hard to add another battery, so you'd need to buy a spare if they are available. Nice work improving the speedometer accuracy, but I think most -e-bike speedometers are, um, optimistic. I remember riding with someone who had a bike that was advertised for how fast it was, but the speedometer was reading 6mph faster than actual. If I had the money, I would buy one right now.

Thank you for the video. Sadly for me, after a month of dealing with Eahora and their terrible bike, I am returning it. They then told me I had to pay to return it. A truly awful company. Here is a quick list of some of the problems: 1. Battery post doesn't stay up, even with the new clamp they mailed me. Only held in place by a clamp. 2. Front handle bars are not tight. ( only driven a few miles). 3. Anyone can steal the expensive battery. Lock does nothing as it is a part of the useless clamp. 4. Bare visible secondary electric wires coming from center "control box" area of bike. 5. Even if seat post is set to lowest adjustment, the powerful battery, plastic connection, and wires are only inches from the ground. 6. Brakes squeal off and on about half the time. Adjustments don't last long. Very annoying and frustrating. Seems to be a common thing with Eahora ebikes, as per many online threads and reviews. 7. Folding mechanism has an odd noise when opening and folding the bike. It might not be anything serious, but when I compared it to another person's ebike with exact same mechanism, his didn't make that sound. Nervous to ride it. Will it collapse when I ride it? The quality so far has left me with no trust in this bike and it's safety. 8. Rear shock does nothing. It might as well have no shocks at all. They should not advertise it as having full or rear suspension. It isn't adjustable and doesn't move at all. 9. Poor customer service. No one to talk to despite MANY begging requests for help. I had to go to a bike shop for help. They couldn't even understand the seat idea. They said it was extremely poorly designed. 10. The process of returning their defective bike took over a month and was very, very stressful. 11. They tell me I have to pay to return their defective item. Plus there is no way it will fit back into the box. There are too many problems for this to be bad luck. It is simply a terrible low-quality ebike. I reported to Amazon.

I have one and use it for work and haven't had any issues. For 1300 you're getting good value for your money. A lot of good components. You forgot to mention the battery cells is Samsung technology. And you can go faster than 22mph it can go 25 plus mph. And you forgot to mention the motor recharges the battery when going downhill. This is the perfect bike for city commuting. They also sell parts for the bike on their website which is another plus

@@EbikeEscape it only regenerates when you go downhill or you go above a certain speed without using the motor. And yea I used my GPS it can definitely do 25 plus. Fastest I went was 28. I am checking with the site, a few things has change since then. Price is $1,299 with a $100 off or $300 off when buying 2. Motor is upgraded from 350 to 500, and comes with a upgraded battery capacity of 48V 17AH (816WH) lithium battery giving a 70-73 on PAS mode. Slightly bigger tire 26" * 2.15" vs. the 1.95" Also, I look at the total length is 6.7" or 172CM, So wonder is it still the same frame... or is it different. Also, any update users comments?

It’s great to see all the new e-bikes on the market. I have to say 43lbs for a carbon fiber bike seems ludicrous. I mean we have the Ride 1Up at 10lbs lighter, so what is the point of carbon if weighs as much as the heaviest of iron? Walmart’s classic bike weighs 30lbs, so adding in the slender motor and battery would at best bring it up to 43lbs maybe at worst.

I'm guessing you're referring to the Roadster V2. Remember that battery is significantly smaller than this - not to mention the motor is less powerful as well.
@buffalomind6838
@buffalomind6838 2 жыл бұрын
@@EbikeEscape yes tYes the battery is half the amps, but the motor is the exact 350 watts. However being twice the amps is only about what 3lbs. The point is when someone hears a company mention Carbon fiber they know what they are advertising and we know what it is suppose to signify very light weight. Yet when the weight is mentioned everyone should be stunned that there are not only lighter weight e-bikes, or even the same weight that cost half the amount and in some cases quite a bit less, so how is anyone going to be thrilled to own a bike that was otherwise going to be something enjoyable to own with its very lightweight as far as the bike on its own, because clearly there is not technology available to the market that would keep everything as light as possible, so we have to deal with the heavy weight of relatively low amperage which is a bu,mer, but looking forward to the future in that respect. There are many steel bikes that weight around 15lbs lighter even after adding the battery, motor, and a few extra cables. It was disappointing to hear the weight after being intrigued of the Carbon fiber bike being offered as an e-bike is all I’m saying.

I recently purchased the New Apus (2023) and so far have really enjoyed it. So one of the questions posed is who does the bike appeal to and for me personally I fell into the category because I am an occasional rider ( 10-20 times per year), ride almost exclusively on flat trails, wanted the feel of a traditional 21 speed bike with a large capacity battery at a price point ($950) to match my usage. The 2023 model is significantly different then the version you tested some things better some worse. Seems they cheapened a few things to strengthen some of their shortcomings. They replaced the 350 watt motor with a 750 watt (1000 watt peak) 20ah, replaced rigid forks with a MOZO non adjustable suspension fork, basic Shimano Tourney shifter, mechanical disc brakes instead of hydraulic, and CST brand tires instead of Maxxis. For an occasional rider like myself some of the things they cheapened up really doesn't matter but the 20ah battery and 75N/M were deciding factors.
@Zomby_Woof
@Zomby_Woof 7 ай бұрын
Looking hard at the updated model. I'm coming from a fat steel frame conversion with a direct drive hub and a pretty heavy battery, so the weight reduction would be profound. And I just purchased a set of zoom hydraulic brakes that have all of about 5 miles on them, so the mechanicals are a non issue. The fact that it has a suspension fork at all means it can be upgraded. The missing features that would be concerning are rear suspension and fenders. I need a commuter - primarily to get me from home to the train station and train station to work. That's only about 6 miles, but it cuts out long wait/transfer times which would cut my commute time from 3 hours to 90 minutes each way. That's 15 hours/week of my life back. Driving is $25 / day in gas as opposed to $5 / day for public transit. So whatever bike I choose is essentially free, as it will pay for itself in a few months (the awkward schedule of public transit means I've been spending about $100/week for ride shares.) I have only done that run one time in a heavy downpour. Fenders would have made no difference. I would definitely need a rain suit and full face helmet to avoid being wringing wet head to toe. Does the frame still have the holes in the frame where the hydraulic lines used to run?

@@silentangel1011 I have the 20ah. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the forks but I don't use it as a mountain bike. I ride smooth fine gravel trails (abandoned rail line). It is marketed as a mountain bike but has specific language on the shocks not to use as a mountain bike. It also has a fairly light max weight limit. If I remember right it's like 195lbs recommended weight limit, so that may be where the shocks are a problem for some people.
