Love it man! Just earned my sub. Ive watched the Earl Nightingale video numerous times almost every year since around 2017, but never committed to following it. Crossing this video is my final sign to start focusing my attention to a more singular goal and writing my plan out to begin my 30 days here soon. Just gotta lay things out in front of me to follow through with it and I look forward to seeing where we both are by years end 💪🏼 Keep up the good work brother!

Thank you brother, means so much to me. I had the same issue were I never followed through with it. I figured putting it out online and tracking my progress would put more pressure on me to stay with it. Subscribed to your channel too. can’t wait to see the progress in the coming years for the both of us! Let’s go 💪

How are you doing after the 30 day goal?
@theofficialfilipapi
@theofficialfilipapi 3 ай бұрын
@@gary5782 I actually just started with my 30 days beginning of March towards my KZfaq goals. Prior to this the focus was on studying and the gym because I was working close to 60 hours a week from October-December, so I decided during that period I needed to invest any time I had towards my personal growth physically and with my languages. I’m doing more of a 60 day test, so let’s see where I am at the end of April 🙏🏼

I thought I'd share a bit of my situation, though re-watching Earl's message and seeing how his test has worked for you already put me in a better mood than i was before, I figured sharing why i want to try this new habit could only help. Basically, i have a lot of goals, or at least things i want to do, but i have a strict step-dad who i happen to work for with a job he forced me to have and take seriously. For a while I have reacted to his- let's just call it "bullshit" and ungratefulness- with full resentment and basically equal negativity and in doing so I've sort of become obsessed with finding ways to cope, setting multiple goals for myself being one of those ways. So much of what i want to do stems from my desire to be an artist, and plenty of people have told me i have the "eye for it" as well as the skills, i just never put my all into becoming an artist with all the restrictions my step-dad and the speed at which this world moves put on me. I want to be a comic book illustrator and author, a graphic designer, a bass player, cartoon-maker, video editor, etc. On my notecard i summarized these things to just "artist" as a side goal and for the main goal I wrote down "graphic designer". I'm hoping from this test to build the right attitude to get what i want in the form i need, and I'm more than willing to do the work to make that happen. Outside the arts I truly have nothing but God and the few family members that actually love me for who i am instead of treating me like a liability or someone in need of constant discipline or criticism. Lots of baggage has been carried for well over ten years, and the almost six years since graduating high school have been some of the worst in my life with 2018 being the pinnacle of misery for me. Anyways, I've been that one person who works so very hard but has "gotten nowhere" for far too long, and I've been pondering how to move past this state. I'm this test is it. Thanks for sharing your experience and insight on how this test has worked for you. Hope things continue to work out for you :)

I’m very sorry about that. It is probably the most annoying thing in the world when we work hard for a long time and nothing happens. This is a cycle that you and me have been in for too long. I truly believe this is the way we break free of that cycle. You sound like a pretty disciplined person so this will absolutely 100% work for you. I truly wish you all the best and can’t wait to see the progress this year for the both of us. God bless!

I am so sorry for the late response. I would stay positive and visualize yourself having the job you want to have. Think about your goal often and whenever you think about it imagine it is already yours in the present moment. This will help you get emotionally involved with it and that’s when the results start to show. The goal card really helps because it is a good reminder of your goal. Thank you so much for watching! Hope you have a wonderful day

Love it, Man. Thanks for sharing. Curious what's one goal you've achieved using this method. I've done different versions of this. Bob Proctor talked about his Note card, and I just sort of "meh" attempted it. Shocking that I'm not seeing results, right? But now I'm convinced more than ever. I've been doing money affirmations at sleep, with ear buds while I sleep, and placebo or not, it's been raining money. Like, all my student loan debt was forgiven... Just wild. I've been "stuck" at a certain level of revenue, and am looking to grow beyond it because I'm more focused on bringing value, not making money. All this is just context to ask what you've seen manifest for you using this method? I subscribed. Thanks for this great content and summary.

Thank you for this comment! That’s really inspiring what you’ve done so far. I’ve achieved some fitness and financial goals. Nothing major yet but I was really happy with them. I’ve been stuck recently too, I think the issue is that I haven’t been as focused on my goals. That’s awesome that all your student loan debt was forgiven. That is awesome!

I used to hang out with a group of really good guys who were mostly older and wiser than myself. I learned a lot (obviously) but one guy said that people don't like to hear "you need to ..." Even though it's a meant to be a helpful suggestion in this situation, some people will turn off as soon as someone tells them what they need to do. Instead, I say things like "you're supposed to.." or "he says you should.." or "you will want to.." Using phrases like these can allow people to be more receptive to the suggestions following.
@JRCurfman
@JRCurfman Ай бұрын
I 100% agree with that and I’ve actually forced myself to stop saying it recently. I would say it way too much and I don’t like it when I do because it doesn’t sound right. I even say it off camera sometimes. It’s definitely a bad habit to work on for me. That’s why I love putting my self out there because people point out my flaws and then I know what to fix. Wish I had some older wiser people around me 🙂 really appreciate your comment!

I definitely wasn’t as good at talking as I am now. If you go back to my first video there is a very big difference. Definitely because of the challenge and just repetition. I upload a new video a day because I want a lot of practice. I’ve been doing KZfaq since July when I started my other channel which was my first one. Definitely improved a ton since then!

@JRCurfman

My test was like I said focusing on becoming the person I want to become. I worked on my clothing business and KZfaq channel. Also my health is very important so getting in very good shape. I ended up getting a lot more sales, more subscribers, and physically leaned out a bit and put on some mass. I’ll admit It’s not a lot and my success story is far from being over. but it wasn’t bad for just one month. If you haven’t I’d recommend trying it. I promise it won’t disappoint :) Thanks for watching!

I’d say whatever you would enjoy doing the most. When you imagine your future, what is the most appealing to you. Might take some time to figure it out. Set down with a pen and paper every day and write out the future you want to live, your mind will slowly start figuring out how to get there. You’ll find it!
