Hands down the best DLC yet. Not even close to all the other ones and I really liked Kubota. This DLC is a must for everyone who likes to play with the BGA and animals. Pump's and Hoses is the first of firsts, bringing something not yet seen in the Farming Simulator franchise. Is one of, if not the most UNIQUE DLC released to this day. Crazy!

If only there was a grain silo setup similar to how the build screen works with these to build large grain setups with conveyors towers, augers, air blow systems, and wet bins with the ability to pick which silo the grain emptys into and with real Capacities. Maybe one day.

It will be interesting to see if the BGA works with other modular BGAs mods and if the tractor unit works with other applicators, like the stock drag hoses.

Yes tho we used deisal pumps not pto driven pumps, the reels we used and the way the pipes act when pulling them is fairly realistic, in real life we pulled no more than 200 metres or you risked pulling an end out, and in real life you can't pull a huge arc or you twist the pipe, however the game will be restricted to some realism, and I'm impressed with it

The pumps and hoses does look fantastic. Besides realistically reducing the mass on the field, for game play purposes it will make things go faster. Precision Farming mind you uses A LOT more slurry/manure than before. This is because the slurry/manure has a very low nitrogen content compared to chemical fert. So, with this new system, you will have a tanker shuttling constantly from the main slurry tank at the BGA or your farm, to your ''mobile tank' rig at the field edge. The tanker never goes on the field, smaller tractors can now apply the fert, its win/win. Without this DLC, using organic fert is almost end game equipment, as a) you need A LOT of cows b) +400 HP tractors c) huge applicators and tanks, which still need to refilled nearly constantly. 12m max appplicator may seem small, but you set it up, hire a worker, and you just worry about the refilling of the field tank. One thing that is missing is a remote view of how much is in the tank, but there are mods where you can see that. You need to play around with it more and figure out the water aspect to the slurry (cleaning, watering it down to extend amount, etc). And to get more organic fert, get Maize Plus, you get 10x the slurry/manure/milk per cow, at the cost of 10x the feed.

the mobile tank is allready an addition in-game, you can then just let autodrive keep it full with a truck + garant trailer and do the slurry work on the field. The + on the hose system is non-stop fermenting instead of driving up and down to the field overload bunker

Thanks for the review FSG , looks interesting, have yet to buy any DLC , but this looks interesting more than just a handful of tractors. The modular bga with the interactive icons looks very nice and intuitive. Hopefully they fix the bug mentioned on the live stream before release and accepting money , where you can’t connect to animal pasture slurry pits , which is likely to be a huge source if not the main way to connect slurry to nearby fields without the need for extra trailers etc. On the whole will likely pick this one up once they fix the animal pasture bug.

Great video FSG. I had the opportunity to run a system similar to this, several years ago. My cousin and I went around to different hog farms and set up the equipment, to apply slurry on their fields. Starting out was easy enough, but the further across the field you got, the harder it was to pull the hose off the reel. The whole process from start to finish, you were going maybe 2 MPH. Made for some long days, and you couldn't leave the machine running, letting the slurry build up in one spot. I ran 1/4 mile once, to shut down the pump, because there's no way to stop the flow. The tractor had to sit in that field, for 2 days before we could move it. Didn't want to ruin the ground or leave huge ruts.

the solids is as straw alternative for bedding in stables ;) 1 thing you forgot to mention, the whole concept of hose slurry system is a dutch invention :) (Sleepslang) and its very commonly used here due to the light weight tractors being used to drain the slurry pit after winter on all the fields in 1 go as the hired staff does it way way faster and actually cheaper if you got a ton of slurry to apply on the fields next to the farm. I may overlooked it, but it would be awsome if we could set a pumping tractor to the seperator to keep it running. Its done that way IRL too here in Holland if its stationary on the farm. And mobile ones on trailers pump out the slurry from the pit themselves. In holland we have pipe hooks overtop of the injector running to the back (checkout "sleepslang" video's on youtube to see dutch farmers in action with this system)

Dam I love all of it the different BGA's the fact that you can turn liquid manure into solid and the pumps and hoses are impressive Giants have out done themselves starting with FS22 and have keep on improving the game with these DLC's my hats off to Creative Mesh they are an amazing group of modders. Can you answer me one question besides this what else have they done? just curious Can't wait to see your deep dive into this DLC, modders in the Mod Community have helped make this game awesome thank you all for the hard work that you put into these mods and the game =)

I really think this DLC is awesome it's similar to the straw harvest from previous games it gives something that was previously overlooked a purpose now instead of the BGA not really being very useful it gives you a reason to want to build one on your cow farm for example which is a real thing that cattle Farmers do and it gives their byproducts slurry and manure a very good use and some really cool equipment this is a DLC that I've really been excited for and I'm glad it didn't disappoint

Speaking of SH, I really miss the pellet harvester. Its easier than ever now to mod, and could technically be modded by someone (productions, filltypes, can all be added via console mods, no scripts) , but I guess Creative Mesh would put the Kybosh on anyone making the Krone? Its been a few years, certainly Krone isnt the only one making these machine now? Or, maybe CM will now work on SH, now that this paid DLC is out.

The travelling irrigators was a great mod when it came out, as that is what I use for a real job, this system would need a high horsepower tractor in real life due to the share weight of a full hose at those lengths, I am using 200m hoses and when that is full its very hard to pull.

IRL separators are used to make bedding for animals. I’m not sure if that’s part of this dlc? I’m impressed that the dlc lets you use it incorrectly. As I was wondering why you slid the hose pipe under the application bar before hooking up, I know you explained why you did it that way. But that connector needs to stay above the application frame or it will be in the way lol Maybe that’s a slight bug that needs corrected yet too. This looks great though, Certainly will be picking it up soon

Yeah i don’t understand why the stinger is under the bar. Possibly a bug, as you say. Also, hopefully the dlc will give inexperienced gamers the real deal with draglines. Triangles, booster pumps, hose humpers etc.

Do you know how the compressor on the pw 121 (the small slurry tanker with all the options) works? I can configure the tanker to have a compressor but unlike the compressor you mount on the front I don't get any control options, is this done automaticly or am I doing something wrong?

If I'm honest I've been on the fence about this DLC since the announcement, one of the reasons I brought the Season Pass was for the discount on all the DLCs for this season and not have to worry about them. So to have thispop up as a separate / 3rd party DLC, and not a cheap one at that, didn't exactly propagate a massive amount of interest in me.. had it been a fences pack with some proper gates in it, now that's a different kettle of fish 😁, but I digress. I watched all the official presentations and wotnot, yes it did look alright, I appreciate the potential it unlocks for modders in the future (especially for the console community with the addition of official scripts, albeit tethered to the DLC for now) and so on. But is it really something I want that much or would use? This is the only early access preview video I've watched so far and I'm happy to admit that I'm a LOT more interested now than I was, perhaps it's seeing it more from a player's perspective now rather than the previous "marketing presentation" type preview. Definitely buzzing for this much more now than I was a half an hour ago, cheers FSG!!

I have to say I was a little bit like you, it looked good but I wasn't prepared for how good it actually is! it's phenomenal

Press Shift Q to connect it, then hit Z to make sure you have it set to the right direction then Y to roll it up (I think that's correct, I'm not in front of my PC just now

The in game mod menu works fine. The only mod I have had no problem getting working is Super Strength. I've tried a Lamborghini R7 mod, the Mach one, and I seem to have the same problem with car mods, like pickup trucks. I'm probably doing something wrong or missing something.

The logic doesn't really hold up. You don't want to apply on top of your pipe but then you proceed to drag the pipe through the muck regardless

Nowadays the manure is applied into the ground. Small knives make a cut in the ground and the manure is applied into it. Ofcourse not all of the manure goes into the ground but the most of it does. So when the hose drags on the ground it doesn't go into the manure that much.

In real life it's much better for the fields, limits compaction which means the soil is left in a better state giving the plants more chance of growing and yeilds being higher. Imagine the fully loaded weight of a massive slurry tanker, it'll be tens of tons, this is a fraction of the weight.

In regards to the BGA, not very impressed overall. The construction mode aspect is indeed brilliant. However, everything else looks the same. And the separator makes no sense, in terms of game play. There does not seem to be a pre and post separated slurry filltype. OK, it ''creates'' some manure from your slurry. Can you just keep the slurry tanker there forever and get infinite manure? If you don't separate, will your hoses clog? Do you lose slurry as a result of using the separator? If you do separate, what is the advantage? KZfaq farmers I've watch dont do this process. They certainly have to agitate their pits, but it seems their applicators can handle the churned-up solids. Maybe they've never shown having to clean out an applicator or tanker, getting the nasty solids out once in a while as a maintenance process. The Kastor Modular BGA seems to be better and more flexible, and can do all of these functions. They can certainly add a separator. Heh, it seems like Kastor might have had intel on what these guys were working on, and beat them to the punch :)

I was a bit surprised I couldn't load up the separated solids into a manure spreader, i'll do some more testing ove the weekend

If you watch the killenbro contracting youtube channel the Digester they manage has a separator. I think it reduced the amount of time solids spend in tanks increasing plant efficiency. As you said from the video it has no purpose so why build it. My question is how in depth do you make the game. Their are people who play untrarelistic and others who enjoy life a little simpler. I'm a farmer my self and I enjoy farming simulator because I can drive at 40k across a paddock and not worry about breaking something. I enjoy simulating farming but making it a little less mundane.

@@benjaminbauer4883 Fair enough, if its for the digestor. I dont think it would have taken too much for them to have a 2nd type of slurry filltype, called separated slurry, and that is the only slurry it can accept, or even better, it can accept both types but the separated slurry is indeed more efficient and makes more methane and digestate. As well, what is the methane torch for? To burn off excess methane if the plant's methane tanks are full, to be used as a failsafe? Could the fermenter just be turned off (I suppose methane production however doesn't instantly stop). If a failsafe, seems like IRL and in game, there are much better ways to handle it besides burning your money (like having another tank, large enough to fill methane only from fermenter, and if power plant cannot accept more methane, fermenter shuts off and excess methane goes to the holding tank).

OMG $25.00 Canadien dollars am sorry but you have to be a foui to pay for that DLC Creative Mesh is trying to get rich with one DLC seriously man . Farming simulator is base on having fun not getting rich .
