The hydrangeas continue to open their blooms and with the recent rain the garden feel full of life again. The daylilies are beginning to bloom and even the salvia is starting to rebloom. More daisies are opening and its just lovely to be in the garden.

Soleil, we were in a severe drought area, but then we got 2" of beautiful rain which made my garden perk up and look beautiful. Then, on the 4th of July, we had some large hail, accompanied by gale-force winds and heavy rain. This week I have a roofing company and an insurance adjuster coming to check out the damage and give me bids. ☔⛈Mother Nature is certainly unpredictable. you should add a dwarf globe blue spruce topiary - adds a nice dimension with the height and the color compliments darker evergreen/ arborviate

I love your channel, your plants are so beautiful. I drop cloves of garlic around my plants that the deer and the rabbits like to eat. I also plant herbs in pots and put them near my plants. They don't like the strong smelling ones. I have had luck with doing this for several years.

Everything is looking fantastic Soleil! I quite like the drumstick alliums and the red and yellow day lily is quite striking. Looks great with the colour of your brick. Maybe if you added another flower with yellow? 🌼🔴🟡

Daisys are my favorite flower. I love the ones you showed today. I have Shasta daily and it gets too tall and flops over. I want those nice and tidy forms you have. Unfortunately the deerare the buds of my yellow day lily, its an old variety, have had it in my garden 38 years. It has a wonderful sweet fragrance, and gorgeous yellow color. They eat the buds just as they are ready to open. Grrr.

I bought two Dahlia at a box store that we’re supposed to be white and they turned out dark red. We don’t always get what’s on the tag that’s for sure. Your garden is looking lovely.

hello im here in Brisbane Queensland Australia we are sub tropical so our winters are quite mild i have many Cannas planted around my fountain and they bloom any time of the year i have some yellow ones blooming now and we are in mid winter i quess we are just lucky that our winters are so mild

I've been growing Pretoria Canna for years and they are later blooming than any of my other varieties. Usually it's early August when they start blooming. I am zone 4b/5a Minnesota and plant them out in the second half of May. They keep blooming until hard frost kills the leaves. They do keep going through light frost, although the leaf edges do show some damage. I grow them more for the ornamental leaves rather than the blooms. They are some of the last tubers I dig up in the fall. One year I forgot the tubers out in the garage until January and they still survived!

Hello Soleil, I always enjoy your garden tours, and this was no exception. I got a kick out of your analogy of the allium being like "little champagne bubbles". Such fun. Do you remember what those types of alliums are called? Most of mine are already finished blooming and since your "bubbles" are just getting started I would like to try them. 😊Thank you as always.

These are the millennium allium. There are also some called serendipity that have a little bluer foliage but similar blooms. 🤗🌸💮🪻

I have a bunch of alliums that came in a variety pack last year and one of them is approximately 5' tall!! I have never grown one so tall before. I am excited to see it bloom. Thank you for inspiring me to try new plants in my garden. 🌼🌸

I have many boxwoods and will not be buying more from garden stores. I heard the fungus and dangerous caterpillars are coming up from the South working there way here. Have you heard of that? I guess I’m just taking some precautions;)

I have a yarrow that us being shaded out by a beautiful Ruby Spider Lily. Is it too late in the year that summer to move it? They yarrow usually blooms like crazy and it only has two small flowers this year. What do you think is the best thing to do. I'm in zone 8b in Oregon. Thank you in advance, Laurie

It's never too late, you just have to baby it more and might need to cut the blooms off to help it transplant. 🤗💐🌿⚘️

Do you over winter the fig? I was given a small one in a pot 2 years , but I have been putting in garage during the cold months. I also live in zone 5B , so I thought the fig wouldn’t survive being planted Also …. Is your Pinky Winky in full sun or mix of sun and shade?

I have the fig in the ground, it is hardy to zone 5. One of my pinky winky is in part sun. 🥰🌺🌷🌸

They will get big, about 20 or so feet. These are Green Emerald variety. Some will not stay in the garden as they will be too big. 🥰🌺🌷🌿

When I was growing up we were always classified as zone 4. Now the growers say we're zone 5 and the stuff dies during our winters.

Do you leave your plants in pots over the winter? I asked at the garden center which plants I could over winter in pots and he said none. We are in zone 5-5b

Some of them are overwintered in pots. If you are zone 5 they should be hardy to zone 3 to be safe. 🥰🌺🪴🌹
