It is early summer on the homestead and we are keeping our hands busy by planting summer crops and preserving late spring bounty such as herbs and root vegetables. This year, I am trying to diversify how I preserve my herbs. Instead of simply dehydrating them, I decided to try my hand at making butter from scratch that I will freeze and enjoy all winter long!
