Yes, lots of options for cables. I'm just not a fan of having to buy different cables for different gear, but I understand why it's necessary for this one. 🙂

Glad the review was helpful! I found the qualities of the EarMen stack to be very smooth (but not smoothing anything off) so the quality is great and should work nicely with the MDR-Z1R I think.

I don't know that the CH-amp is an upgrade as such. They're different rather than better/worse. The CH-amp is a little crisper sounding, but lacks the soundstage size and "organic" sound that the discrete design in the SA-1 brings so it depends on what your priority is.

I don't think so. You ideally want an amp with 1.5W at 150 ohms. I don't think the CH-Amp has that level of power, does it? I can't recall.

I actually didn't clarify, but I was using the Supercharger power supplies which do increase the price and performance. That's also why I'm very impressed with the CH-Amp 🙂

I completely agree. It is a poor commercial decision by EarMen to sell both units together. What if someone just wants to buy the EarMen linear power supply for the Tradutto? #FacePalm

Yes, that's a fair point. I can see that they're looking to sell these devices for stacking specifically with each other, but agree they should be able to buy the LPS separately.

I wondered about that too. Tradutto, Staccato and then CH-Amp - seems out of place

I'm not sure I'd say it's holographic because there's not a huge sense of depth in the soundstage. The imaging is very good though

Hi Sergiy, do you mean with any device or between these two? Between the Soloist 3XP and the CH-Amp, I'd buy the Soloist 3XP if soundstage is your maximum priority. Across all amps I've tried, the very best for soundstage would be either the Sparkos Labs Aries or Burson Soloist 3X GT. The Soloist GT creates a wider stage while the Aries creates slightly better focus of each sound within a less expansive space

@@PassionforSoundthank you - yeah, the best model soundstage wise you've ever experienced. I've just come to conclusion stage is in 1st place. No stage - no juice. No.2 - no rolls-off on both ends, they can be even emphasized/ slightly U-shaped, I don't mind if so. At least straight ghaph, at very least - well, it's my taste for sure. I like the reviews of Hifiman EL-400, I think it may be close. Keep up a good content.

So for the very best it's the Soloist GT or Aries. Both are very true to source with no roll-off too
