Being born in Brooklyn in 1985, I was definitely someone that was inspired by Puff. But I have to admit, at 38 I’m starting to look at these “icons” a bit different. Our community economics are under attack because we are brainwashed by athletes and entertainers that use our pain points to market sports, entertainment, liquor, and fashion…all while the future is based on tech. I mean come on 😂 This man wants us to focus on a “black owned” tv station while none of us is even watching this interview on tv right now. 🤦🏽‍♂️ On top of that, I’m tired of people talking black power to sell us liquor and halftime shows 🙄🍿Puff, go to Mexico and grow your own agriculture so you can become your own supplier and give black entrepreneurs their own liquor brand. That’s the solution to 0 black wealth in 30 years, not telling us to keep buying from you 🤷🏾‍♂️

The question I have for Diddy, Kanye and all these so-called Rich Wealthy people is if they are what they claimed to be, why don’t they have their Own Distillery companies, Manufacturing Companies, plants, factories to produce their own products why is it that they always depend on companies that always strongly established thriving successful globally to make and produce products for them? The same with Kanye they claimed he is a billionaire but he can’t build his own manufacturing plants, factories to provide his products this is the same cycle from our people time and time again always dependent on others to do the heavy lifting for them!

Everything can be potentially tru at once. Yes he is a visionary, social and business wizard, philanthropist, great dancer, ladies man, all around success, as well as someone who made powerful enemies in the liquor industry. He is also Bi (based on story after story & videos of him acting weird), plus a power-hungry master manipulator, a straight up predator, liar, con artist, vampire, drug user, and person connected to murder of Tupac and Biggie. Yeah, I said it. Biggie. His death launched him into permanent infamy, and skyrocketed the value of the catalog/Bad Boy. He is in the process of reaping everything he has sowed. He lived a good life. Don't feel sorry for him. And don't cover and make excuses for him either. It is what it is. Accountability is key
@87Lohan
@87Lohan 3 ай бұрын
I agree with you, I think with Diddy he’s what 50 now? He’s done everything apart from living a righteous life, which I believe he was trying to do now he’s older, probably not as much energy. Which is why he was trying to call out an injustice he had already been heavily involved in for years. But in ignorance he thought he past actions weren’t bad seeds sown which eventually would come back to collect from him and his children’s children.
@blaisetzu
@blaisetzu 3 ай бұрын
@@87Lohan perhaps, but it is hard to say how righteous his life actually was. Yes, he started promoting his Christian affiliation more, said he was all about Love, changing his name to that, and started talking more pro black, but behind the scenes many of the same things was still going on. Perhaps that was part of his inner struggle. Yes, he likes to make people happy and share his abundance, but he also appears to be a sociopath, willing to lie to one's face about whatever at the drop of a hat, as well as orchestrate weird and brutal acts if preserves and grows his power. Things are coming home to roost, and when you've been getting away with things for so long, you feel almost invincible, you get bored, bold and sloppy. Who knows what's going on inside his head and who knows the full extent of everything he has done.

Puffy is so inspirational. Coming from nothing and having the ability, energy, and spirit to navigate through all the triumphs and be successful. We need support each others wins. I don’t see or hear other communities tear their successful people down. We need to do better.

Interestingly enough, shortly after this interview and the fight with diageo all the bs started with Cassie.

Message to EYL: Y'all don't need to get cosigned or validation from the Black elite bourgeoisie. Commending Diddy for him building his record label "Bad Boy" is laughable since he never paid any of his artists the monies that they deserved. Now, the Cassie lawsuit against Diddy (even though it was settled and will be looked at as "She Said, He Said") just confirmed every negative rumor that followed him throughout his career. His public perception and brand reputation is ruined and EYL promoting him is not a good luck. EYL as I see it, are known to promote independent Black businesses and Black entrepreneurs who got it from the mud which I feel is why I started following y'all in the first place.
