To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzfaq.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I’ve always used EarPods to pair with my Android devices before. Now that I have the iPhone 11, thea EarPods to me will never go out of style but kinda eyeing to get the new Airpods 3 for that wireless experience during biking and light exercise.

I got my first pair of earpods a few months back when I switched to using iPhones instead of Android, and I was so shocked by the sound quality. I was expecting a cheap, tinny, flat sound with little to no bass. The sound to me is actually rich and the bass is amazing for me. I have Soundcore liberty 2 pros and I can’t even get my bass on those to sound as nice. I wonder how the EarPods compare in sound to AirPods Pro? If they sound similar I’d buy the pros in a heartbeat

I was shocked too, the simple design and frail build kind off deceived me into thinking that they would sound like some cheap 5-10 bucks earphones but the sound quality was absolutely amazing.

Between myself and my wife we have all 3, sound wise, Earpods the best.. way better... Airpods pro great all round package, you won't be disappointed, just not as good as the earpods sound.. Only buy the airpods if you can't manage the extra for the pro

Thank you for this great video! Totally agree with you. The sound of the earpods amazes me all the time. I have a lot of audiophile gears and headphones, but can heartily recommend these wired earpods for a great audio experience. Also the listening session will be enhanced if the quality of the audio file is great as well!

2022... I still use OG earpods, the original ones with the 1/8" TRRS connector. They are comfortable and sound good too. At $19 each i dont care if they break or I lose them. They pretty much have replaced my legendary Koss KSC 75 for portable non isolation use.

I’ve used EarPods for years and I’ve come with the opposite conclusion after going back and forth I love both and if you don’t want to drop the money on AirPods then don’t! They are both amazing sounding and versatile. I like my AirPods more and to me they have better sound quality but the main thing for me is the ability to not have to worry about a wire during a workout or when I’m doing something I don’t have the wire in the way, both are amazing products and anyone would be more than satisfied with either!

I did some comparisons and I have to agree. Perhaps EarPods are better than AirPods 1st gen, but not 2nd gen. My brother has both EarPods and AirPods 2nd gen, and I just got AirPods Pro 2. To be honest I'm trying to find an excuse to return the AirPods Pro, and after watching this video I compared all three (And yes I cleaned all the earwax out of my brother's ones so it didn't affect the quality). The AirPods 2nd gen definitely sound better than the EarPods to me, so I can't agree with this video. The AirPods 2nd gen still sound pretty good against the AirPods Pro 2 too, but they're very bass heavy for some things, and without silicon tips or noise cancellation, they're not nearly as good in louder environments like on a train or in a busy store. I thought AirPods were a bit of a gimmick ever since they came out, and that's how I felt the first time I tried the AirPods Pro 2 I got. But after testing them in a bunch of scenarios with a range of different audio sources I'm beginning to realise they're actually quite good. I honestly thought I was going to return them next week until I started comparing.

It depends on which bt version your phone has. From iPhone 14 which is bt 5.2, Your air pods pro2 is fine enough for lossless transmission.

@@aliciapark6241 older phones have bt4. 2 which has more signal distortion and higher battery consumption than latest ones. Technically, sound quality won't differ but older ones breaks the transmission more when you try to hear higher quality music. Normal quality should be fine though.

That is 100% how I feel about my new AirPods. They let in way too much outside noise and my right AirPod fell out today at the gym when I simply bent down to pickup my water bottle.

To me the EarPods is the best why because I had the EarPods for 5 years still working great bass like crazy. I bought the AirPods in 2019 and this is 2021 it’s still working but you hardly hearing any sounds on both. And I take good care of them. Only used them if Im in the airport, car, or sometimes if im going gym you feel me. But it’s a modern world I’ll buy the air pods 4 in a timing

I stopped using my AirPods because the batteries deteriorated too much, I found the EarPods sounded way better especially with the “Headphone Accommodations” that let you get a much fuller sound on the top end

I use both, what I do is that I take my AirPods to school so the teachers can’t tell I’m wearing them (because of the long hair) and use the EarPods while I’m out because I think they look cool. So basically I use the EarPods for fashion senses while I’m out and they’re also pretty good for listening to music. I personally think the AirPods sound better, but they’re honestly too pricey. I bought them out of impulse and though I don’t regret it, I feel like I could’ve gotten cheaper options from Samsung.

You can feel a major difference between Earpods and Airpods while listening to a good podcast. Earpods sound so crispy and clear while Airpods sound also very nice but they have a bass in the sound if that makes sense

Lightning EarPods are way better than the 3,5mm versions Apple used to include with iPods. The difference is extreme. They might not have loud bass, but the clarity is astonishing for the price.

Here’s an honest review from someone who owns both: EarPods, since they’re wired, it transfers audio in a much better quality imo. With these, I can hear all of the instruments, bass, everything when it comes to music. It’s a lot clearer and they’re really good quality for just $30. AirPods, while they are convenient, when I first got them, they were really bass-y. I didn’t get the full on experience like I did with the wired ones, and they’re simply just convenient because they’re truly wireless headphones. I can’t say much, since I have the 2nd gen’s, and I can almost guarantee newer gen’s sound so much better.

That's not always the case. If the speakers are of the same quality, sure. But the cable itself not that big of a deal, when it comes to consumer electronics. Most headphones are at a 32 ohm impedence, which means there's a bottle neck

Depends on bt version the phone uses and streaming settings on music app. Wired is better than wireless in terms of sound quality is no longer the case for general purpose earphones. For studio grade, still wired knocks wireless out of the park.

I was searching for my AirPods and couldn’t find them. So I went for my EarPods (that I left hanging for years…) but I noticed that the sound is great and even the bass is in my opinion better. But I found my AirPods again and use them daily again. But I don’t forget the earpods, they helped me good and still delivers good quality sound.

The mic is directly on the part that goes in your ear. It may be hard to see but I ensured that it was in direct contact with that spot.

I personally prefer earbuds because when I listen to music, people see the wires and don’t bother me so I can enjoy my music in peace. With AirPods, they’re hard to see, especially if your hair covers your ears. Also, I’m never worried of losing my earbuds cuz of the wires. I’ll take the 30 seconds to untangle them.

Wired ones are better and convenient to use no delays good sounds quality and no accidentall touch if you lay down side plus you dont need to charge it and it's less expensive

Putting such great earphones for free with their iPhones, killed me, they don't and for a while now they don't, I think starting from iPhone 8, there are no earpods in the box. But I agree, sound quality on Earpods is very good for the price.

imo i personally think that the Airpods 1st gen (which is what I've got) sound so much better than my wired earpods as the sound quality on my wired earpods is so quiet and the quality on my airpods is so amazing. everyone to themselves tho

Bro if you can afford the AirPods Pro but even then your not getting the same value as with wired headphones that are free, included in the box, only plus in the AirPods Pro is the active noise canceling and of course they are wireless but sound wise I still enjoy listening to things in my wired headphones if I’m not working out.

Brooke Johanna Airpods are one of my favorite everyday use purchases. i’ve had a few pairs of wireless buds in my life. they all have broken within a month in different ways. the little wire snaps the buttons stop clicking. my airpod fell out of my ear 5 stories bounced on a car hood and landed on cement. still works fine. that same pod fell in the toilet. sound quality still pristine. the point is. pay for the quality. i’ve never been this satisfied with a purchase

See I’m in the problem I’ve used EarPods lightning for 7 years they coast where I live 19.99 not a lot but they break in 4 months that’s 3 pairs a year money racks up but I can’t find nothing better then the EarPods can you?

Hello, I would just like to know if the wired Lightning EarPods are lossless quality? because I know that all Apple AirPods in Bluetooth use the AAC codec and therefore compress the sound enormously and personally that does not interest me, since all my music is in CD quality which comes from my personal CDs which I copy to AIFF format or from Qobuz in CD quality also or Hi-Res, even if I know that it is an intelligent compression signed by Apple of which I have heard many times excellent reviews on the AirPods Max. But I know that they were developed to work via Bluetooth although they can be wired. But losing the harmonics and dynamics I find very annoying. So I really want to know if the Lightning EarPods are lossless and also the USB EarPods - is that please? Thank you for your answers. Then I know very well that to opt for true lossless quality from a smartphone, you must opt for a digital-analog DAC with quality wired analog HI-FI headphones. But giving €400 is complicated at the moment.

I love Earpods so much but I feel like they've gone down in their quality, I got two new ones recently and they're almost broken already it could be they're using cheaper material for them!?

Make sure it’s authentic, there are several duplicate earpods which look 100% similar to the originals, they even have a code and warranty card too! The only difference is the sound quality, If you want to check whether your earpods are authentic 1) go to settings 2) tap the control center 3) place the ‘Hearing’ on the control center 4) play a music while you’re listening to your earpods 5) check the ‘Hearing’ icon on the control center 6) If your earpods are authentic the icon will show the highs and the lows of the song you’re playing through a volume bar under the ‘Hearing’ icon, and will have several features like noise, reduce loud noise, etc

Since you have an android you should definitely get the wired ones- they sound really good and are very comfortable. If they didn’t have wire I could go the whole day and forget they were in my ears.

I acknowledge and agree that digital audio, especially hi-rez can sound virtually like analog. But, I avoid Bluetooth transfers for certain. It’s wired phones all the way!

EarPods (lightning connected) have massively improved audio for their 2019 dated releases over that of the 2016 to 2018 releases, and earlier nonlightning EarPods back to 2012, recalling the even worse audio of the Earbud prior to that. The look of the latest EarPod is pretty much the same it has always had. It may be that they updated the EarPod electronics, so as to coincide with that of the new AirPods, other than the blue tooth electronics in the AirPods. Obviously, Apple is not advertising this improvement. They would rather sell the higher priced AirPods.

Thank u for ur valuable comment but i have a question. I have wired Earpods 3.5mm jack of 2019 Release Date(made in Vietnam). Do u know 3.5mm version and lightning version have same sound quality? Im using Earpods 3.5mm on my Android phone and im really satisfied about Earpods man but when i read ur comment i just wondering about that.

@@bozkurtmaster8979 Not sure. I saw somewhere that the lightning version applies more power to the signal given the cooperative work with the phone so as to provide better audio. Heck, I don’t know. As for my statement above (prior comment from a few weeks ago), I could be wrong about the improvement inherent in my recently purchased EarPods. The sound is definitely better, but that could be due to the old ones having degraded

@@youmothershouldknow4905 In my experience, i have Earpods 3.5mm from iPhone 6S box and its still working. Like u recently i bought another Earpods 3.5mm(2019 Date) for backup. I test these Earpods and I think 2019 date one have more loud and clear audio but certainly theres no big difference. I dont know lightning is better or not so i asked u. Thank u for comment. :)

Hey man I research that thing and Lightining one have better sound than 3.5mm But u know 3.5mm is more useful Using on PC, other phones and PlayStation. So i will keep it 3.5mm Earpods. I just want to inform u :)

I have been using the regular EarPods and now I purchased the AirPods 3 gen I am so disappointed about the sound quality but the most important AirPods 3 are really uncomfortable in the ear. With the EarPods I was able to listen music all day long thing that I’m not able to do it with the AirPods. I will return it to the store to buy a brand new EarPods! Like your videos said if you like quality sound EarPods are for you!

it depends on music service tbh. apple has its ecosystem. apple music is capped at 256kbps. just like the airpods. so it’s fine by then and if you’re an apple music user you shouldn’t have a problem with using either. then it just becomes a question of convenience

I want to know if airpods have a similar fit to the EarPods. My other Bluetooth pods keep fallout out. But the EarPods state in place unless I’m working out.

Airpods are ever so slightly smaller which can lead to a looser fit for me in one ear
