I might buy this JUST to support a dev that believes in the value of split-screen co-op in shooters. When I was growing up, in the SNES through GameCube eras, playing shooters and racers and all sorts of games split-screen was the defacto way to have fun at a sleepover. I have so many happy memories of, eg, trying to survive eight perfect sims on Felicity in Perfect Dark with a buddy. I remember the first time I realized split-screen co-op was dying out was when the first Dead Rising was about to come out. Me and my gf were eagerly looking forward to playing it co-op and when we discovered it didn't even offer offline co-op of any kind we were so disappointed. And it has only gotten worse since then. The only real AAA exception being the Gears of War series, and it was literally the fact that Gears 4 still had split-screen that got me to buy an xbone. For my money, couch co-op is _way_ more important than graphical fidelity. This dev seems to agree, and thank gawd for them, I say!

Fallout 76 still has more bugs

If you don't mind lower quality graphics, but love mindless fun, pick this game up. It is absolute proof that graphics are by no means necessary for a game to be insanely fun. If you're hesitant, just pick up 4.5 instead for a test run. It's only 15 bucks right now, and it gives you a taste of what this game is like.

GOTY RDR2 don't even has a chance against this. High production value and graphics never win against pure nonsensical fun. Well, at least for my taste...

One of my favorite video game titles. I would have liked to see more though. Well as in more classes more weapons larger multiplayer missions more visual equipment vehicles and a populated cityscape or at least evacuation stragglers or even civilian resistance. But over all I'm happy to see the return of a classic.

Me and my uncle have been playing through theses games since edf 2017,i would HIGHLY recommend all of the games to anybody who wants some solo or split screen fun,especially edf 4.1 . Most of the games have almost 100 mission each and are extremely fun,while a bit ridiculous in the number of enemies.

Mission 109 wasn't that bad in gameplay, and it was more menacing than any other mission. Idk what this guy's talking about, this game is an easy 10/10

This review left out the fact that it's a digital only game with a special version retailing for $90. I'm not sure why that wasn't discussed in a review of this game. Even at the regular price of $60 it's worth discussing if that's an appropriate price for an EDF game particularly considering the series' budget title roots.

Pure fun & I wish more games were like this. There are AAA titles that do not compare to the amount of fun one can have in this game, even with all their graphics prowess many are just plain boring. But in the EDF games one can just blow the heck out of enemies and feel like a total badazz. I hope they bring this to XB1 & I cannot imagine how much better EDF games will look on XB2. EDF 4 life!

Classes? Weapons? Leveling progress? Difficulty levels? Replayability? Guess I'll get what's important from somewhere else.

Its funny how this game has bugs and they've never once directly said how the bugs (game bugs not actual bugs) but the fanbase say its how the game should be and its a feature. But then fallout they're well aware of the bugs and know people love them and make memes on them even go as far as saying "we know you've enjoyed the exploits" but then the community straight up go against it and say they're not features lol. And I mean like the relative bugs in not talking about like game breaking things that are obvious mistakes. Its funny

How did I miss that this even came out! I am a big EDF fan, having even imported EDF2 for PSP back i the day, and then suddenly EDF5 drops on steam and then I find out that its been out for months on PS4 and there is even a new spinnoff game! Wow .

Question for the fan base: I played this back in 360 times and you couldcraaaazy powerfuldangerous weapons. Like a grenade that was incredibly powerfull, could damn near blow up the city. But, the farthest u could throw it was 3 feet lol is that comical weapon variety still going? Cuz I loved that

Any thing else doesnt matter, the dated graphycs, performance stuters, non-sence plot. It's just one thing this game series priorities above all, Its Dumb Fun.

i remember playing insect Armageddon, then getting edf 2025, and was confused wondering if i got the wrong game with how different a lot of mechanics were, i mean in insect Armageddon you only got 3 or 4, i just remember the fencer and it was broken as hell due to how op the weapons could be
