Hello dear Yasmeen, Thank you for bringing up such wonderful and helpful videos in this domain. I have a question regarding usage or mud and lime mortar in combination with bamboo for roof of the house. I am planning to have a roof made with double layer of bamboo in crisscross manner and plaster it with mud and lime mortar from the top and then cover it with tin sheets. Need to know from you if this is a good idea, or if you can have any suggestions about using bamboo with mud and lime mortar.. Thank you again.

Dear Darshan, Thanks for the appreciation. Kindly watch the video on prefab bamboo roof (Link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iKeFjbN6x8Xcppc.html) If you want to use the sheet for water & rain protection then fix it on top layer of bamboo, then cover it with dry thatch/matting and then apply a thick layer of lime-mud plaster in two layers. Use lime-sand plaster for better protection and durability (Link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrN7ZsqTmrXLk5s.html)

Dear mam, is it possible to use mud as an alternative to concrete in flat roof buildings. Thus shall we use bamboo as reinforcements??? Could the clay + lime mixture be an alternative to the conventional concrete.?

Yes, 30cm x 50cm bricks can be made, its thickness need to be 15cm for optimal strength.
