I was in Fairborn (Dayton) when this happened this was the scariest message on a weather radio I’ve ever heard

JDWat Films, Gaming and More I have family in Springfield so when I first heard the warning I immediately called them, thinking it was moving northeast

First Tornado Emergency in Ohio. These really exploded over western Ohio.

There's been one other tornado emergency in Ohio, but it wasn't for a huge population center (Napoleon, OH, 8/24/16). This was a pretty rare event, though. This ended up being an EF4

@@hdayejr the term as used here "Tornado Emergency" only originated in 1999, and even then it was an informal designation, with the criteria varying from region to region, if it existed at all. Common national criteria defining a "tornado emergency" for the NWS wasn't established until 2016

The ILN Must have been partying that night. Not the usual party. The party where you are frantically pressing buttons, flipping switches, turning keys, and typing.

I happened to be searching for EAS alerts and this popped up... I didn't think I could be triggered by a video but i started crying when it listed the counties. My entire family is spread around Dayton, Huber Heights, Beavercreek, Riverside, WPAFB, etc... there wasn't a single person i knew from family that was not affected in some way. That night was terrifying, and I still pass the trees that were ripped apart and abandoned houses every day as i go to work. You can feel people tense up with every tornado watch now. Being told all your life "tornados don't form in valleys" only to have all this happen... it's a huge surprise no one died, with how awful that night was.

I lost my roof that night. My whole roof here in beavercreek It was replaced shortly afterward. It was terrifying.

In in SE Delaware County. Only had warnings from this storm. My oldest was spending the night at a friend’s house on the Delaware/Union County line that night. It stated to look as if this storm was still going to be bad by the time it hit western Union. We were pretty nervous.

Me seeing this on the tv a while go while watching tv really shook me because I was in van wert county and i had a friend in Dayton who was hit hard after the fact
