Oh my god, I normally never comment but I have really thick silky hair, which makes it impossible for me to ever do any updos because my hair has no texture to help it grip, and my hairs quite heavy, so its only a matter of time before it becomes undone and falls. I've tried so so many of the updo hairstyles on youtube for sooo many years, not once has my hair EVER come out looking like the tutorial, I just don't have that type of hair. I tried this, almost definitely sure it wouldn't work, like everything else I've tried, but I was so shocked, I had actually successfully created an updo, and it looked beautiful, wore it for a couple hours, VERY secure! It didn't fall at all. I'm so glad I found this tutorial, nothing has ever worked for my hair, and I still can't believe, that after years and years of youtube tutorials for updos, THIS is the one tutorial that actually worked for my hair when nothing has! It's so simple it's crazy Thank you so much for sharing this, it came out nicer than I ever would have imagined, now I can FINALLY do cute updos for events rather than having to let my hair down all the time.

I've tried numerous styles to get this look and no other tutorial did what I needed from yours! Thank you so much! Super easy to do and looks great for weddings! I use braids instead of twists which gives my hair a little added boost.

So I used to do this pull through braid thing, that wasn't hard, but time consuming and used a lot of hair elastic, and this looks almost exactly like it when it's done. I can't wait to try this!

Why am I learning to style my hair when I'm quarantined and nobody will see it?

You are a lifesaver! I've always loved your videos (and your overall natural look and style) but never actually got around to trying too many of your hairstyles (mostly bookmarked them for later). Now I find myself in a position where I need to do my own hair for my wedding (eeek) and have been trying all sorts of looks from KZfaq videos and for whatever reason, yours are always the easiest to do, super simple, and actually stay put on my head. Thank you for such clear instruction and creating looks that don't require tons of practice and can be done mostly by feel but still look incredible. I still haven't figured out exactly what I am going to do but I have options now and feel so much more confident than I did just a week ago. This look is SO EASY and quick to pull off but looks amazing!
