To create makeshift gas top oven:
2 heavy bottomed pans
2 cups salt (sea salt / table salt)
2 metal rings to provide support to cake tin
2 lids of the heavy bottomed pan
For the Eggless Chocolate Cake Sponge:
150 grams yogurt, room temperature
150 grams milk, room temperature
1 teaspoon + 1/4th teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon + 1/4th teaspoon baking soda
240 grams all purpose flour
60 grams cocoa powder
240 grams caster sugar
120 grams salted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
For the Dark Chocolate Fudge Frosting:
200 grams single cream (Amul fresh cream)
200 grams dark chocolate (I used 55%)
100 grams salted butter
100 grams sweetened condensed milk
1/4th teaspoon sea salt
Preheat the saucepan containing the salt, metal ring covered with the lid on the stove on a low flame before you begin preparing your cake.
DO NOT preheat the cake tins, they will go later once you have added the cake batter to them.
Bake for 45 - 47 minutes or until a toothpick/skewer/knife inserted in the center emerges clean.
TO BAKE IN THE OVEN: Preheat oven to 160 C / 325 F . Bake at 160 C / 325 F for about 35 - 40 minutes or until a skewer/toothpick/knife inserted in the centre of the cake emerges clean.
Note: You must refrigerate the fudge frosting for about 2 hours until it feels cold. You can even refrigerate the fudge frosting overnight but make sure to bring it to room temperature before using. It must have a spreadable consistency (almost like room temperature Nutella) when using on the cake!

She is better. Whenever I tried her recipes, all of them turned out awesome. On the other hand, Shivesh’s recipe never turned out good. I use exactly same quantities even then.

Okay, I made this cake on 5th November 2020 God , I just can't tell you The frosting was so yummmmmmmmmm And the cake by god it is really moist 😍 Things I observed -Instead of 120 gm of sugar I took 100 gm as I don't like that sugar It was still sweeter -Also I wasn't able to put frosting properly on the cake 😝😛 so it was just more on the other side and less on the other. -My frosting was melting soon as I took cake out of the Refrigerator ( I agree that there was some 15- 20 gms difference, I took cream too much so may be it is possible ) Trust me the cake is really good I mean next time I will properly take all the ingredients and make it again

Thank you sooo much! 🥰Absolutely! In the oven you would bake this at 180 C for about 30 - 35 minutes or at 160 C for about 35-40 minutes (the toothpick/knife should emerge clean when poked in the centre) Hope you enjoy making this! 💗

Hey Samina! A huge fan who always waits for every video release of yours with great excitement! I always recreate your recipes instantly! So I had a few doubts and enquiries and would lvoe for you to help me out! So you do not use the creaming method right? Is there any particular reason to rub the butter in the flour, instead of creaming butter and sugar? Second, can I use oil instead of butter? If yes then is it the same amount, and will it make any difference to the texture of the cake? Or probably half butter half oil? Third, in recreating on of your recipes, I added sugar to the curd and milk mixture. That is okay? Thankyou so much in advance. You have always been very kind and I appreciate you giving time to your viewers and helping them out. Thankyou so very much! Cannot wait to try this deliciousness! ❤️

Hi Nupur, thanks so much and sincere apologies for the delayed response! You can definitely whip the frosting up to make it airier. I haven't attempted piping with it as its stability depends on the refrigeration, I'll definitely give it a go soon. But I suppose if you use heavy cream or the non-dairy whip frosting version of the cream, this could be achieved. I hope this helps! x

Hi Samina!!! ☺️ I tried out this recipe today, it was so decadent and delicious 😍 you were right about the discrepancies while using cup measurements. By far I've tried different recipes with cup measurements and they were all a fail. The cake would have a prominent taste of the soda or it crack too much or get dense. But with the measurements you've specified and the method of baking you've followed has been so useful for me. I can't wait to try out more recipes from your channel. My family members and neighbours thoroughly enjoyed the cake. Hi Priyanka, the quantity of condensed milk is half of the dark chocolate's quantity so it adds only a slight amount of sweetness. The cake too is not too sweet and has some roasted bitter notes from the cocoa powder and instant coffee so the flavours are balanced. For the fudge frosting, you refrigerate it for about 1.5 - 2 hours until it turns cold. You could refrigerate overnight but would need to let it come to room temperature before using, it needs to be spreadable consistency (like Nutella almost). I hope this helps! 💗

Hi Rashmi, You can use the 45% chocolate with the quantity of condensed milk mentioned, it won't affect the sweetness as the cake itself is more on the bitter side to balance out the richness of the frosting. I hope you enjoy making it! 💗

Hi Mansi, I have used Bournville plain dark. It's superfine caster sugar. Ant normal caster sugar works well. Hope this helps!

Milk and curd shouldn’t be consumed together as having them together can give lots of skin problems. It is prohibited in our Ayurveda as well. There are opposite ingredients.

yes...that is true...but i think cooking them together would change their chemical properties and thus won't do any harm...i think it is only unfavorable when eaten raw(as they are) together... correct me if I'm wrong...

Hi, I've used Bournville but even Amul Dark chocolate will work (or any dark chocolate of your choice)
