I watched a video of installing swem, and I guess I didn’t do it correctly, thank you SO much for this video. I got a laptop for my 16th birthday, and I wanted to play SWEM for the longest time but I didn’t have the technology to. I tried one KZfaqrs tutorial before this and I just was like oh yeah uh didn’t work, and im really glad you gave us a simpler way to install it + any other mods. THANK YOU! Need to get java and then I'll follow the tut! I can't wait to play it,in a other thr j watched it didn't specify what swem worked on and didn't work on so that's useful and once I get java I can play after i use this tutorial so :D thanks , gonna add other mods into it probably but not alot because I watched someone who played it for I think 200 or 300 days but didnt continue as the server was laggy and she thought she lost her first horse on a trip after the world crashes while finding bee's

Heyyy so this tutorial helped me a lot, I just had a problem with one thing. When I was trying to add SWEM to that costume profile that I made, it said that I had to download curseforge again? And I have already downloaded it so I just don’t quite understand what to do, if you have any suggestions on what could be the problem? I made sure that everything is on 1.16.5.

i have one question. i got to the point where you are in curse forge but everytime i try and make a folder to put the mods in it pops up a red bar at the bottom saying theres an error. im not sure if its an app blocking it but ive looked up a bunch of stuff and i cant seem to figure it out. thanks❤

Hey! That’s really strange… have you tried closing and opening Curseforge? Or going to the mod and then clicking add to profile and creating a new profile there?

Oh my gosh, I’m sorry to hear that. Been there, not fun🥲 Is Minecraft crashing, or Curseforge? How old is your computer? Does it have enough space or is it new enough to try and run a mod? Do you have anything else running in the background? All things I would try and check for

I did all of this on the latest version for swem they announced it would be on 1.20.1 so I clicked that for everything and now my computer is saying “you are about to play Minecraft:Java Edition installation that has been modified. We can’t guarantee the game will support the latest player safety features. Basically it’s just saying there’s a chance the game could crash. I bypass this every time I enter the game, just click through it and continue playing as normal❤️ Edit; if you’re worried about it crashing, it should ask you about making a backup of the world every time you join, and you can do that just to be on the safe side.

Hello, I have a problem. When I want to play with 1.18.2 it crashes and it gives me a warning sign next to my game before launching it. Whether it's with several mods other than swem or no mod it gives me always does the same thing. I can play the same day or I install everything but the next day it's finished. 1.16.5 works very well except that there are not the same updates on this one as on 1.18.2 that's why I would like to play with this one...I'm on curse forge and 1.20.1 does not exist except with neo forge but neo forge does not take into account 1.20.1. So I tried the old 1.20.1 without curse but as soon as I put optifine it crashes. I don't understand anything... am I? If you know how to help me, I'm interested, I'm losing hope...

Hi! I’m sorry to hear you’re having an issue running SWEM. I’ve only played on 1.16.5 so I’m not entirely sure about other versions, but I would assume as long as all of your other mods are on the same version as SWEM there shouldn’t be an issue. I do know that SWEM now works on newer versions of Minecraft, but I don’t believe it is fully updated to Minecraft’s most recent update. Your computer simply might not be able to run optifine and SWEM at the same time, as that is a lot to handle. You could always try deleting and re-downloading the game or restarting/rebooting your computer. Honestly, I’m not too sure what to do since I’ve only played 1.16.5 but I hope one of these might help fix it❤️ Edit; I just checked Curseforge, the newest update SWEM seems to work with is 1.18.2, so if you change all your mods to also be 1.18.2 I believe it should work. However, as you stated too, 1.20.1 is “.jar” and neoforge which I haven’t had any experience with so I wouldn’t really recommend using. Hope this helps!

In fact, the message they give me is "this world uses experimental settings which could no longer work at any time" and they put a warning sign next to my part before the launch.Then the next day I don't know how to play anymore.So I only installed swem today and loaded a game.I'll reconnect tomorrow to see if it still works,I'll let you know what's going on.I'm playing with 9mod and 3pack of resources c maybe that's it? I will therefore try to download mod by mod and launch the game between each download and see which one poses a problem. If not I will try outside of curseforge the old fashioned way...And at worst I will play in 1.16.5 :( Thanks again !🫶🏼

@@Tessa_brown Hello again! I get the same warning about the experimental settings part, I usually just click past it. If it asks me if I want to make a backup, I click yes, and then continue into the world and play like normal. I wouldn’t think the mods and resource packs would be an issue, however it’s definitely worth trying. The old-fashioned way might work better too, although definitely more of a pain🥲 I hope you can get it to work!

Hm, are you trying the version 1.16.5? I know sometimes it works on a newer version of Minecraft and sometimes it doesn’t, or tried deleting/restarting Minecraft?

You might need to switch it at the bottom, so when it asks what you’re playing on it will say something along the lines of Minecraft and then if you change it it’s the name of the profile you created in CurseForge

I'm confused about it only running on 1.16. I have been playing it on 1.18 just fine (seemingly, anyway), and from my understanding I thought we were finally able to update it to 1.20?

I think they made an update where it could run on a more recent version, but I’m not sure. When it was first out it had to be 1.16.5 or it couldn’t run

Would 1.18.2 work? heard people have gotten swem on that version...and this tutorial by far the easiest to follow others are kinda complicated instead of straight forward if you know what I mean...

I do believe it will work, I’ve heard other people trying it as well. As long as all your mods are on that version and you can download SWEM with that version, it should work. And I’m glad this was easy to follow!

I believe you can, but in this tutorial I am using 1.16.5 but you can always try with a newer version and if it doesn’t work, you can go back to 1.16.5

I believe now that there’s a newer version you can use it with 1.20, at the time of this video it still had to be 1.16.5

When you log into Curseforge, just click open through that and I think it will have you log in through Minecraft

It goes in order, so to put on a saddle you must have already put on the saddle pad and a bridle❤️

In a way, it can be - if your laptop is strong enough to run a mod (my laptop struggles to run Minecraft without mods, so I use a different computer) then it can run SWEM

Hm, did you try signing in beforehand? Or going through the sign in process and see if it lets you in?

@@ItsaHorseThingStudios When I signed in beforehand it said it couldn’t load because it was already open? And so I will try to sign in the only thing is I am playing minecraft through xbox so that may be the issue? It’s on computer just through the xbox app yn?

@@BuckinArtsy Yes, I do understand. Perhaps try closing all tabs or open apps on your computer and then try signing in when directed to and see if that works?

I personally have not had any experience with shaders, but I would check KZfaq for some videos on how to add a shader - I think it would work just fine❤️

It works for Minecraft Java Edition, anything under Minecraft Bedrock will not work

The mod is free, but you do have to have Minecraft for your computer for it to work

From what I have seen, Xbox is Bedrock only. Therefore you couldn’t download the mod there, since it only supports Java
