Lincoln Central station, Lincolnshire.
Saturday 28th March 2015.
About 11 hours on an early Spring day spent at Lincoln Central Station for the East Coast Main Line diversions. Trains were diverted between Doncaster & Peterborough via Gainsborough, Lincoln, the Sleaford Avoiding Line & Spalding (known as the GN&GE Joint Line) due to engineering work between Peterborough & Retford. Seen in order are (times in brackets are the times the trains passed):

Am I right in thinking that the northbounds rejoin The ECML at Retford?

No, they rejoined the ECML at either Doncaster or Newark North Gate at the north end, Werrington Junction (Peterborough) at the south end.

why dose lincon have such short trains I spott at the high street level crossing and the trains are so small
