Does anyone know the origin of this song? I can’t find any information about this song, not even it’s composer. Although I’ve read one KZfaq comment on another video that said this song was actually composed as late as 2006 but I don’t know if that’s true.

The DDR war Mitteldeutschland and not East Germany. East Germany us East of the Oder River. You missed probably some lessons in Geography. Du warst zu lange in der Hirnwäschemaschine. Vor 1945 war das und es immer noch Mitteldeutschland. Ich hoffe du weißt was der MDR ist?

The territory of the DDR was referred to as Ostdeutschland. And even today it is called Ostdeutschland. Or as we would say: Der Osten - Magdeburg, Rostock, Erfurt, Chemnitz Ziemlich große Klappe, trotzdem familiär und menschlich. Der Osten - Leipzig, Weimar oder Dresden Keiner will hier weg, unsere Heimat, unser Leben Der Osten - Cottbus, Halle, Potsdam, Jena Herz am rechten Fleck und 'ne stahlharte Leber. Der Osten - Hier zählt noch Freundschaft Wo ich herkomm'? Ostdeutschland!

@@phornthip1991 Bilde dich mal. Zu Zeiten der DDR gab es kein deutsches Gebiet mehr jenseits der Oder. Damit war die DDR der östlichste Teil Deutschlands und wurde zurecht als Ostdeutschland bezeichnet. Hinter der DDR gab es kein Deutschland mehr. Komm damit klar, du Muschi.
