That's because of war propaganda and hollywood movies in which they use german characters, who cannot even speak German, as enemies. German is a very rich and beautiful language. It's one of the best languages for poetry and singing.

Interesting that, according to the soldier's mind, soldiers got to heaven but officers go to hell. This was definitely a soldier's song.

Beautiful song, very well done on your part! One of my favorite German songs is Die Gedanken Sind Frei for both its beautiful lyrics and their meanings as well as the historic use of the song as strength in the worst of times.

Hello Karl? im not sure if your ever going to see this, but Id like to personally see a german version of "we'll meet again" by Vera Lynn. Hallo Karl? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob Sie das jemals sehen werden, aber Id möchte persönlich eine deutsche Version von "wir treffen uns wieder" von Vera Lynn sehen. this is a comfort song for me, it would mean a lot to me if you did this, as i fail to find anyone else whom translates songs so well . Dies ist ein Trostlied für mich, es würde mir viel bedeuten, wenn Sie dies tun würden, da ich niemanden finde, der Songs so gut übersetzt. Danke
