i thought this was good was quite uplifting and a good theme but i think the very first eastenders theme in 85 is still easily the best.

Well, yes and no. The original song from 1985 is "Anyone can fall in love" sang by Anita Dobson who played Angie Watts.

I don't understand why this is referred to as being "jazzy". It sounds more like really bad R&B music to my ears.

It's jazzy because when it aired on EastEnders it had jazzy instruments playing it in, which they've more or less omitted in this vocal version.

@@DoctorVision Geez you responded to a comment from NINE YEARS ago?! lol I don' teven remember making that comment or even hearing this. I'm not sure how I ended up watching this video, but the only version of the EastEnders theme I remember is the original one sort of synth pop version. I somehow don't think I knew that they had replaced it in the 90's.

@@Kohntarkosz Well thank you for still being active to answer it. They changed it in the mid-90s but changed it after a year because it was unpopular with viewers.
