Cindy was crazy. It's so obvious that David wasn't invested in their fling, but he was too cowardly to call it off in case she did something even more stupid.

@@bensmithkent22 He liked the thrill of the chase and sneaking around, but in terms of settling down, I think he found Cindy too burdened with drama and chaos. Plus it was made clear throughout the years that his heart was only ever really with Carol, even if being together seemed impossible.
