Like pat great actress special in eastender. And never be nough angie she was lovely lady she made me smile . Both lady were lovely. Both credit to eastender. It not same with out for them in show.

R.I.P. June Brown. She made Dot Cotton iconic. What could have been only an annoying busy-body, bigoted, bible-thumping 1 dimensional character was instead, a 3 dimensional, kind, compassionate, vulnerable flawed human, pitch-perfectly acted. I thought she was supposed to be a Christian. Doesn’t seem to be the behaviour of a Christian to me.

Indeed. And that's an inherent part of the character. Like so many people who claim to be Christian, Dot Cotton's understanding of Christianity was "limited". She used her religion as a crutch, like some people use drink, drugs or sex, because she didn't want to face up to a lot of the problems in her life.
