You know who would have scared the daylights out of her, the Late US Soap Actor Michael Zaslow (Ex-Roger Thorpe) on Guiding Light, he and Archie Mitchell know how to threaten a person. Ben had so many problems and Jane allowed him to go to Jail for something he didn't do. It's a miracle he didn't beat her up and she couldn't tell anyone because she'd have to admit the truth.

In The US Two Men went to Prison for Rape and they didn't do it. One woman admitted she just named someone out of random so she could get justice and there was no DNA in those days. Very Type A, an Elizabeth Holmes type of individual. He served 10 Years but forgave her. A College Student went to Prison for six years because the girl didn't want her family to know she was sexually promiscuous. She went to Prison for lying and wasting the time of the Town for something that didn't happen. In the US it's called perverting the cause of justice.

You know who would have owned Jane like nobody's Business, the Detective on Emmerdale who sensed Daz was lying about Amelia running away. Another set of Detectives were The Bakers on the US Soap Opera The Bold & The Beautiful who come on when a Murder takes place. Archie Mitchell would have "assaulted" Jane and in the US on Guiding Light Roger Thorpe would have terrified Jane.
