Fun Fact: When receiving feedback during your island evaluations (for what I believe is a one or two star island) one of the possible dialogue choices contains a famous Legend of Zelda reference. Isabelle will read the quote "It's a place I've been quietly watching. It's a secret to everybody. I don't want it to be famous."

Another fact is if you hit an instrument with an axe a unique sound plays it works with the instruments you can hold too if you place them on the ground.

7:25 if you sit on the farthest left seat you can at that tank, almost all of the fish there will swim over to you to check you out, it's a very neat detail, they really didn't have to add all this, but they did anyway

Hey you ever notice that when Gulliver is on the beach near the shore and he uses the distress emote, his footfalls make sand sounds, but when the waves come up to his feet they make splash sounds. I just thought that was cool.

You missed the peach easter egg. If you make a big peach and interact with it. A baby will pop out. Now this isn't some dirty innuendo. This is a reference to the story of 'Momotaro'. Momotaro translates to 'Peach Boy'. The story is of a hero, who as a baby was born from a peach. Google the story of momotaro its really a wonderful story.

The Bamboo Doll is similar that it's a reference to the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, when it is not interacted with, the centre of it will glow, much like in the story, and when you interact with it, it appears to get cut open and a baby floats out from it. That baby is meant to be Princess Kaguya, who was found inside a stalk of bamboo by a wood cutter in the story. It is a very interesting story, and is the oldest surviving Japanese folktale.

Spoilers for the Splatoon 2 DLC: The “antique phone” item in ACNH is a complete reference to Tarar, the villain in the octo expansion DLC. It makes sense because, well, the same team at Nintendo created Splatoon and AC as well :) little fun fact for y'all out there

Fun fact: the boxing-themed wallpaper “Ringside Seating” actually has a special animation only if you have the judge’s bell placed in the room. By ringing the bell, you can hear a crowd cheering and see camera flashes.

One more easter egg I found recently, if Lable visits you (the other able sister) she will bring a brown bag with her, and on that bag, a familiar green scarf is tied into the handle, that scarf have the same pattern with gracie's shirt, label employer and the owner of gracie grace back in Wild World era

Fun Fact: If you donate an ant to the museum, go to their exhibit and you can see them escaping to the room where all the flies are. It's a very minor Easter egg but it's still there. Also, if you stand on the slopes that go from grass to sand, don't move on them at least once. The very small detail is that the characters have knees. They bend if you stand still so you aren't just floating.

I'm a bit late, but there's another Splatoon reference, outside of submitting a specific fish to Blathers for Splatoon-related dialogue. The clay tanuki figurine that can be crafted was originally seen in one of Splatoon's collectable scrolls!

Another little detail is the shop window displays of Nook's cranny. In summer, it has a different item in front of the door on the left each season (I think because I do not time travel) and if you look closley you can see shell bunting above the door and inside the shop, and a lighthouse and some birds in the window. :) Also with the daily announcements, in summer, if you have Isabelle, there is a fan that blows in summer.

Since Dpad didn’t make a new leaf Easter egg video, imma tell a Easter egg I just discovered in the game. Apparently if you talk to Genji after not playing for a long time, Genji might say “You were training on top of a mountaintop” or something like that, which is a reference to Pokémon Gold and how Red went to train on Mt Silver

Idk if it's an easter egg, but I'm sure it's not well known: When one or more villagers sing in front of the town hall, make them sing the marine song 2001. You'll notice it has 5 different verses and is probably the longest song. :)

fun fact: one of the tv channels will be like a yoga/workout video but if you listen closely, the tune playing during that segment is the exact same tune from the very first game where early in the morning, villagers would be doing exercises by the small fountain in the town!

Fun fact: There are a few other fish with strange dialogue when you catch them. The whale shark, coelacanth and the string fish all huge huge text when you catch them. “THAR SHE BLOWS” is the whale shark, “OH MY GOSH” is string fish and “BLAST FROM THE PAST” is the coelacanth. The king salmon has some special text too. When you catch it, it will say what you caught and the joke, but afterwards it will say “Checkmate”. This is a obvious reference to chess.

Fun fact: There's a chance of getting bells when you hit a rock instead of iron or stones. For the first couple of hits, it will be coins, then for the last 2 or 3 hits it will be a bell bag. When the bags appear the 1-UP sound effect from the Mario games play.

There is actually default locked on personalities you get for your first 5 villagers. Your first 2 starter villagers will always be Sisterly(female) and Jock(male) And the "DIY" villagers will default be Normal(female) Peppy(female) and Lazy(male) That means your 1st campsite villager will most likely be a Cranky, Smug, or Snooty villager. Because campsite odds will always go for the personality type you don't have (or if you have all personalities, the one you have little of)

Quick Fun Fact my friend told me : If you spot two villagers talk to eachother there's a chance they'll have a conversation about what they would do if they had a billion bells. One would say they would swim in it. This is an small reference to Scrooge Mcduck who's known to be the main character of DuckTales (both 1987 and 2017) and Scrooge Mcduck comics. Edit : Scrooge Mcduck is known for being the richest duck in the world and swimming in his moneybin.

In the cenezoic section of the museum crocodile villager outlines do not appear because they were around much earlier than the dinosaurs and evolved from a relative of them called archosaurs which is something I figured out myself :)

In German, the squid pun is referencing Pokémon - saying something along the lines of "How tentacool!" It's hard to realize when you don't know that the English name of Tentacool is well... Tentacool (in German it's Tentacha), but still a neat little thing

Not all villager types are present as the outlines in the fossil part of the museum! Squirrels, for one, are missing. IDK all the missing types, but not every single one is represented

I’m pretty sure whenever you catch a new fish it goes “Yes! **insert fish catchphrase** but a fish you’ve already caught won’t have the “Yes!” Before it’s catchphrase.
