I can't explain it but after being on a Cake Boss binge, arriving here and seeing Buddy so natural and passionate made me want to cry. I just think of all the quality time him and his father must have spent together.

A lot of people tend to judge him and say he’s acting different to change his image, but tlc is known to exaggerate things to get views. Not only that but working a bakery, especially if it was popular and a lot sold, it’s stressful. You have to be harsh sometimes, to get that respect from your co workers, so they don’t see you as a pushover. My mom owns 3 restaurants and whenever I work there, shes sometimes loud and stressed, but it’s because it’s hard work. You need to impress your customers, to keep them coming. If you’re slow, theyre not coming back Bc theyre gonna find some place else that’s faster

I bought the Russian tips a few years ago, thinking they might make for lovely piping on the wedding cake for my dads 2nd marriage. However, no “instructions” as to the best way to to use each tip and what flowers they make. So, I was lost! And, since then, they’ve sat for 2 years in my tips case, looking lonely! Mr Valasco, thank you for showing me not only how to use them and different flowers, but you also showed me (old fashion way!) how to make roses! I’ve always been so intimidated trying. And each time I got my courage up and tried, they either looked like a large “smursh” or a rose that got run over by my grandsons tonka dump truck! I must keep reminding myself as I PRACTICE that I mustn’t give up and to keep trying! Once I perfect is when I use them on my cakes! Thank you for starting this youtube channel Buddy. I'm from India and have been watching you and your family in TV for past few years. I love your family; I hope everyone stays together like you guys. If God grants me a wish, I'll get to meet you in person and just see you live decorating a cake once in my lifetime. Due to some circumstances I wasn't able to watch your show from past 1 year and today luckily your vedio popped up in youtube. I started loving cakes after watching your shows in TV and wanted to become a baker. I just started to bake cakes in oven from past 2 months without going to any baking classes just was hoping for any tutorial for cake decorating and your vedio showed up. I think it's a sign that I should start baking and continue it. Thank you again for the butter cream flowers tips. I tried once to prepare butter cream once and it wasn't that good will keep trying and then try the flowers you taught in this video.

I got the Russian tips when they first came out and I've hated them ever since. Everyone thinks they're a decorator if they can use them... The handcrafted flowers are the real skill.
