Very nice machine. Love the conveyor. I think that adds alot of practical efficiency to the process as well. One trailer after another pulling up underneath it as the wood is automatically dropped into them. No need to manually load it in and then wait to change trailers and start again. Who are your customers? Do you have to re-split a bunch? Firewood sales only generate $7500 to $12000 a year in revenue, trying to justify the expense....
@offroadlife05
@offroadlife05 4 жыл бұрын
Mighty Mouse say you sell 100 cords a year and buy your wood in logs at $2700 per load of logs at 16 cord per load so that’s $16875 in logs before cut deliverd at $320 a cord cut and split to the customer is $32000 so 32,000-16875 is 15125 now that $15000 is not including wear and tear but for a side income not to bad !!!!

15 min, but that's stacked. If it's all sitting right there and all you ha e to do is put it on and split it should be pretty good from all the videos I've seen on these splitters. I'm really hoping and saving for one of these splitters some day. I was thinking the 9-16, but just for a tad more I'm leaning towards the 12-22. Hopefully I'll be able to do business here with in the next year. I really really enjoy watching these splitters work. And thank you for all the informative videos. And that's 2 people one splitting and one stacking and then both stacking once the splitting is finshed

That's not big and ugly. That's big and friggen gorgeous. Any tips for moving around bags? I reckon that they are definitely the way to store and cart wood but they are problematic when you get to a customers especially if they want wood moved to a back shed or similar. Love your work Andrew. I was exhausted just watching you :D

I don't mind hand filing but I like for the new chain to go dull on its own first just to save a little metal for sharpening later. I like the saw to pull itself though the wood easily. A sharp saw is a fun saw.

Nice work! Pretty consistent time between the two bags, a few tougher looking rounds went through there but made no difference to the set up 👌 Too many variables to give any better of a idea for average volume per time allowance. Nothing ever works out when you try to give ETA before the loads are on deck 🤷‍♂️ but sure looks like a reliable machine. Thanks again for the time and post.

Amazing. In the market I work in absolute consistency is king. It seems that if the wood isn't as closely matched as possible, repeat customers are rare. It's crazy. And it doesn't make sense. And thats why the axis splitter is the one I'm saving for. Slower yes. More control yes. A guy has to cater to his market. I really feel there's a trade off. Consistancy versus speed. The fastest splitter available does no good if the market doesn't support it.
