Your insight is always great to hear. This must come with time because when Chas and I bought the grapple truck and we blew the motor I felt absolutely horrible. I asked Chas why he wasn’t losing his mind. He said calm as can be “it’s just a wave and it will pass. Some waves are bigger than others but they all pass”. I need to be more like that. The pick up is going to be awesome! Crown Vic front end with that LS motor is proven tried and true. I like these videos. Makes me work on me lol

Totally agree. When you make mistakes, don't beat yourself up about it. Calmly rationalize what went wrong and try not to repeat it. It's wasted energy getting upset about it. Keep calm and carry on.

If you aren’t failing you aren’t trying. It’s how you handle the losses or failures that determines your success. We talked a little about this in a recent podcast. The only way you really lose is to fail to learn from the mistakes or quit. I’ve had a few moments of temporary insanity. Helping others is something this community is all about. Great video and looking forward to seeing the ol truck on the road. Closing in on 25k! See you at the Fellowship unless something unexpected comes up.

35 yrs ago, or better, I worked at a speed shop building cars. As a young buck, drag racing flowed in my veins. It still does if I allow, but I don't ..... priorities LOL. Anyways the owner of that shop, my mentor, told me what he told all new racers getting their feet wet. "First you crawl and then you can begin to walk. Once you're walking you learn how to run. When you can run consistently, you can begin to fly. Currently I use a Fiskaris x27 and rent a splitter, when I want to progress through a pile of rounds. I call that walking. I'm going to run ...... with a 37D. I'll be adding a complementary piece of machinery. Once done, it'll be time to fly. At some point, after my purchases, I'll meet you in Boonville and share my Idea. You're a good soul, Andrew.

If you have never had anything go wrong, you have either been incredibly lucky or not taken a gamble! Life doesn’t always run smoothly, but when things go wrong, analyse why it went wrong and learn how to avoid the same problem happening again. Look for patterns and roads that you have been down before and had problems. Nothing is ever insurmountable, and many people will be surprised that by reaching out help can come from the oddest of places, from people you are never met across the world. Well said video Andrew, you bring a personal touch that is real to what you say. All the best to you, Stacy and the boys, and all the team,

Great message and really …a reminder! We had a storm drain project 2 years ago that cut our butt…we are now doing another storm drain project that is 4 times as big and we are doing much much better! Better people and better technology…better results!

I wouldn't mind similar videos that go into some of the positives and negative of your industry as a whole. Maybe stuff that affects your business but not maybe exculsive to Eastonmade, similar to a video you made a few years back piggybacking off Adam, from Hometown Acres, regarding how to price. Examples possibly being: Positives: 1. More people than ever working with wood and buying equipment. 2. Current availability of wood in general. 3. Much improved fireplaces and stoves. 4. Your personal thoughts on equipment you use around the shop that helps your business thrive. Negatives: 1. So many newer people are doing firewood that it actually has a negative impact on prices, due to inexperience and under-selling. 2. How most of the firewood industry is, still, relatively like the Wild West and people just do whatever, US and I would assume Canada too. Gord from GP Outdoors did a great video on something similar about rip off stuff. 3. How much price hikes affect you personally, even though it has to happen. Maybe thats all a reach and you're not into those ideas, but I like these kind of outside the business but still ties in to the business and life video's. Good stuff, Andrew!

Haha we grew up the same.. I Played goalie for a house league team my first year playing.. we won every single game that year .. the next year we moved and I played again and we lost every single game... lol.. ahh the memories...

I appreciate all of your videos but these type of videos really remind me to keep my head up during the rough times wether in business or personal life. You really do learn something during failure or loss. I can not wait to grow with Eastonmade when I come pickup my 12-22 in Perth in the next 6-8 weeks. The Eastonmade 12-22 will dramatically increase my output and reduce my processing times. Thanks again for helping all of us grow.

Good evening Andrew. Happy New Year to you as well.. That was great advice.. Being an older fellow I learned that same lesson along time ago. I have try to teach my kids the same thing. ( I have 11) hahahaha My saying to my kids is. Prove them wrong. I always find the positive in everything.. And sometimes it is very challenging. Thank for sharing your thoughts with us.. Cheers

The last time I really Gomer'd it, I forgot to mix the oil into my gas and melted down my 390. Ended up making myself buy a 500i, so turned lemons into man glitter!!

Turbo LS... Super nasty, i coyote swapped a fox body mustang that I've had for 30 plus years it's still naturally aspirated but it's tuned on E-85

Andrew, have you seen that Australian made Rex 600? The thing is a back saver and heavy duty. I don’t know the price it’s probably very expensive Mike Morgan just got one on the loan.

Looks OK, put many splitters have a lift. The multi knife blade is different.
